Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....



I have a theory.. of intentional sabotage...

I'm a member of the NASCAR Fan Council, and curiously I noticed one of the possible street circuit locations in a survey on schedule changes was Miami, Florida...a market already served by Homestead-Miami Speedway, just makes you think.. Especially since HMS struggled to sell out a 46,000 seat track for the finale..
 
I cringe whenever somebody says they are "driving a NASCAR". The term is stock car or NASCAR race car. You don't hit an MLB, throw an NFL, shoot an NHL, or dribble an NBA

oh man, stop with the stick n ball B.S. A Nascar is a purpose built race car/truck
 
I have mixed feelings on this one. I'm kinda with @DewChaser988. On the other hand, I regularly say 'Indy car' and 'F1' to refer to those vehicles instead of 'open wheel'. For the most part, I don't mind when people outside the sport use the term, but it's inexcusable if someone who should know the difference between different styles of stock cars uses the term.

But it only a 0.5 on the Irritiationometer.

yeah me too. That adjustable nose pan tells a tale the way it is built and adjustable from lift to down force. I never thought that was moveable.
 
^ NASCAR has changed the overall width of that piece several times. It’s obviously a critical component.
 
I was working when the race was on and I now see this was posted in the race thread Oh well.
 
Dale Earnhardt and Joey Logano won a race in the same decade :confused:
 
I’m watching the 1992 Daytona 500, just shocked how spread out the cars get during green flag runs. And Morgan Shepard in the 21 Citgo Wood Brothers Ford stalking Davey Allison, just a different time. Fun race
