Didn't they try this at Bristol a couple of times, and quit for that reason?Putting a bunch of legends out on the track seems like a good way to get someone hurt.

NASCAR, via IMSA, acquired Historic SportsCar Racing (HSR) earlier this year. They’re actually joining the Watkins Glen NASCAR weekend card next season and also have a standalone NASCAR 75th anniversary weekend at Road Atlanta next April.Historic racing isn't a thing in the states?
There should be plenty of ex-NASCAR drivers who are still fit enough to drive their old cars.
Drivers don't go 100% in historic racing anyway because they don't want to risk destroying the cars.

I was interested in the crowd's reaction.. wondered what it would be.I spent an hour trying to figure out how I missed the Nascar float. FINALLY, the mystery is solved.
It was shown locally on the KTLA feed, not the national ABC/NBC broadcasts.I’m not sure what they’re talking about. I saw the float on TV and I even got a text from someone else that saw it.
Ahh. Thanks for the clarification. It was shown locally on the KTLA feed, not the national ABC/NBC broadcasts.
Thanks. That was a fun read. Was listening to TMD yesterday and they brought up the Laurel Hill Tunnel that Chip Ganassi was using. Somehow this one slipped past me and I never even heard about it. Anyone else heard of this thing?
