7.5. It was a great race except for one thing, the large speed advantage of Harvick. Yes, that is a big thing, but IMO the race deserves a lot of credit for the race put on by the other 36 cars and drivers. Behind Harvick, we had comers and goers, side-by-side racing, lots of action, and a bit of strategy.
On corner exit, the drivers had to pedal the throttle a looong time before going WFO That makes it a race of driver skill and set-up skill, which is important to me. If fate had plucked the 4 out of contention, this would have been a dynamite stock car race to me.
PS: I was surprised how much coverage Fox gave this week to the question of JJ's age in the 48 car's performance. The subject was discussed twice on Race Hub, again during the pre-race show, and also during the race broadcast. I thought the topic was timely and handled fairly, so I'm not complaining about Fox's coverage. Just mildly surprised they did not shy away from a sensitive topic concerning this century's greatest stock car driver.
