Return of the "3"

Well Fans of the number three car must be in seventh heaven tonight. The new driver of the car is just like the old driver. So much so, that they should call him "The Eliminator". Rich Childrens Racing has struck gold again.
That would be way too much to ask for but a top 10 ain't bad. ;)

There's a yellow stripe across the bumper for a reason. While he didn't have a clean race he battled back to 9th which isn't too bad. I'm gonna guess most drivers don't hold incidents at RP tracks against eachother as a lot is product of the conditions they have to race in.

Well, Austin "survived". Shaky start if ya ask me, with more luck than skill involved with his 9th place finish. I think he picked up most of his plate driving tips watching the bumper cars at the carnival.

I guess if Austin Dillon can't win ROTY clean (even though he has the best car and crew in the rookie crop by lightyears), he's just going to wreck everyone each week. I wanted to throw my iPad through my TV when he dumped Larson.

None of Harvicks antics angered you ??? No yellow stripe on his bumper but he wrecked WAY more cars than Dillon. Larsons race was ruined from the start anyway

Larson was three laps down after he wrecked himself....twice. Austin put him out of his misery. I like Larson, but he stunk. goes along with what I believe, Larson doesn't have enough experience to draw on, so he will make plenty of rookie mistakes. Blaming it on others isn't going to make it all better.

So Austin Dillon dumping Kyle Larson and taking several other cars out and then dumping his own teammate a few laps later (taking several more cars out) was Kyle Larson's fault?

couple of rookies, you know what a rookie is right? yellow stripe and all that.

Scott touched his car, Harvicks violent reaction caused the mess IMO

Exactly. Brian Scott's contact with Harvick's RR quarter panel caused Harvick's car to get out of shape, in turn causing the wreck. Hence my statement about Brian Scott caused it himself.

he has been trolling and thread jacking every since he got here..but the season has finally started, he has his own one horse pony thread, and there are others who want to talk about something but the 18.

You see any mention of the 18 in this thread ??

At any rate..the 3 is back on the track at the cup level, and despite the love or hate, the 3 is 12 points out of the lead..if points mean anything this year.

They probably don't but fanactics do :)

I think its ironic that a fan of Busch is talking about being angered by someone else's antics...

Phoenix is a tough track, all the drivers seem mad there

"battled back to 9th." If you want to equate wrecking more cars than anyone else on the track "battling back," then yes, I guess he did.

Anyone know why Dale Jr. never took the #3 after Dale Sr. died?
