I'd like to hear JJ's radio chatter. They didn't even show the video of how he hit the wall.
 
48 hit the wall on purpose, 15 returned the favor. Such is life. 78 should be in victory lane, not sure WTF is wrong with NASCAR, that restart wasn't even close.
 
I just can't believe the 99 wasn't black flagged. Usually only Jr gets special treatment like that, wonder what favors Carl did for NASCAR.
 
jj got jeffie a caution. clint got truex one.
don't know who paid fer # 30 spin ? ha!
 
I don't really feel sorry for Newman. Blaming his crew for not being in the chase, maybe if he had driven better during the year it wouldn't come down to a final pit stop.
 
The 78 crew has cost Kurt 2 - 3 wins, he still made the chase. Newman sucks, his career is in decline.

Well, it's possible the Nascar officials took a ref bump near the end and couldn't see the Bowyer spin or last restart. That happens. Next race should either be a no-DQ race or have a special guest referee.

I seriously doubt JJ hit the wall on purpose. However, his being unable to make it to pit road? Yeah, that's questionable.

I do, he busted his ass to drive through the field and take the lead and got hosed. Watch his in-car camera; I haven't seen a driver up on the wheel like that in a while. He's earned a spot with a good team and I hope he does well at RCR.
 
Newman is washed up, he'll go to RCR for a year or two then Ty Dillon will replace him and he'll be in a start and park.

Yeah, they sure were beating the drum about the Chicago race next week but the ticket office needs all the help it can get.

I'll be there along with numerous fans dressed as empty seats.

Jr was actually penalized back in 04 for intentionally spinning out, but was only penalized after he admitted it was intentional.
 
why was the footage of his wheelwork kinda choppy though? it wasnt clear exactly what he did but bowyers interview was obvious..
 
Did anyone notice when Jamie Little asked Bowyer if he spun out on purpose and he denied it that he couldn't look her in the eye. Body language is very telling.
 
Me and my boy had a good time watching the race. However, NASCAR should be ashamed. Carl Should not have won the race. Several people intentionally causing cautions. The worse part about Boyer trying to get his team mate into the chase.. it makes Michael Waltrip and the whole organization look bad. As if Martin Truex is not good enough to get it done himself. All these people hating on Newman should be inspired by a guy who is getting let go by his friend and yet is going out there and putting it all on the line and trying to make it happen. It is his pit crews fault. A better stop he could have fought for the lead instead of get cluttered behind a bunch of cars.

I thought Newman was outta line throwing his crew under the bus like he did.

But he got screwed royaly by Bowyer's stunt.

Regardless of how it affected Newman's chances to make the Chase, it took a number away from his lifetime victory total.

Another victim of the gd Chase in my book.

Is it too early to start thinking about the comeback of the year award for next year ?
 
I am not a JJ fan, but any one suggesting that he hit the wall on purpose to help the 24 is an idiot. If all JJ wanted to do is get a caution for the 24 he could have pulled a Bowyer. Why would JJ tear up a perfectly good race car and potentially hurt himself if he doesn't have to? By the way that wasn't some little scrape either, he tore the wall down.
