It was a clown show move, and I applaud NASCAR for making it illegal. Having said all of that, I applaud Ross's creativity, but it isn't like he hasn't tried something rogue before...see Indy. A one time shot is interesting, but this becoming a viable "move" in the sport truly takes us to WWF Land.

I think Marks knows what he has. The phone probably hasn't stopped ringing with people wanting to buy it. Don't touch a thing on the Hail Melon car.

Think Justin is just fine on money.

C.Bell complained about Ross doing something to him and they weren't on the same straightaway lol.

Kyle Petty is 1000% right. People want racing to be more like the classic era? Ross Chastain brings it just like the great ones. Kyle said “he’s not here to bake you a cake and sing happy birthday…he’s here to take your trophy and win a race”.

👏👏👏

I agree and can’t stand him at the same time. He’s an amazing talent and a smirking chimp. He has talent and aggressiveness that invariably makes him a villain who keeps it interesting. He’s climbing fast on my list of drivers who I love to see spin out and yet I think the races would be less gripping without him. Can’t count how many times now I’ve seen him line up to push in the second row behind someone I was rooting for and cringed behind a pillow…but I wasn’t bored and I didn’t stop watching. Do I want to see him get served some
Humble pie? Yep. Do I think he brings some personality that NASCAR needs? Yep.

^^^^^ Speaking of smirk, aggressive driving and races that wouldn't be as interesting without him, can anyone say, ;) , Kyle Busch??

Kyle is absolutely on the same list for the same reasons. But he’s old news in this regard and I figure it’s just assumed. Hate his guts, think he’s a jerk, and recognize he’s got magical skills.

The issue that I see with Ross and his "fame" is he's drawing eyes for all the wrong reasons in terms of creating new long term fans. He's currently, to me, the equivalent of "I only watch hockey for the fights". And I don't say that because he recently had a fight, I mean it in the sense that people are only tuning in to see what off the wall (mostly dumb) stuff he's going to do that week. Casual viewers are only going to be interested in that for so long before it wears old. Hell a lot of the current hardcore fans are already tired of him like the majority of the field is.

If Ross starts clipping off wins at all kinds of tracks while also continuing his normal activities, then you'll have something. As of right now tho, he's won a lottery Dega race and dumped the leader at a RC for his 2 wins. You're gonna need a lot more than that to back up the other stuff you do.

He's got 5 top 5s already this year, he's going to get wins.

Chase led the regular season points virtually all year last season and won more than Ross, yet there's still people saying they don't understand why he's popular...

Yet here we are using it as an arguing point for why Ross should be. Never change, RF.

Is it as simple as Chase shouldn't be popular because he doesn't create havoc? Cause otherwise he does his job at an elite level. Sounds like we're back to that whole "why do you watch" point I was making.

Ross's hail melon will be played for years on the highlight reel along with his right cross on Gragson's jaw. Elliott will be remembered for poking his fingers at Hamlin and Harvick's chests.

Poor Chase....heart bleeds for him with all his unfair detractors. 💔

I watch NASCAR to be entertained, and Ross Chastain entertains me. 🍉
Yeah, and here's the thing....he isn't a dick. Mentioned before somewhere that I hung out in Bell's garage in Phoenix last November. Ross was right next to him. Ross was hinging with fans with Marks....they were amazing. Reached out to ask if I was having a good time. I mean....approached me....and engaged in a conversation. Pretty damn cool.

So cute. The Felon and Jeffy are upset because Larson is upset....and we go on a rant. If you think the drivers should sort it out amongst themselves, then zip it. Larson is pissed this week because his bestie wasn't responsible this time....so we pout.....and BTW....Who was the last driver to lose a championship because he made too many enemies? Exactly. Stuff that narrative. Ross is fine. He will figure **** out. Can't wait to hear Marks defend his driver against the Felon this week. MY Toyota fandom prevents me from rooting for Ross, but I like him.
