Neither does the throw back paint scheme , so it only fitting the wig wouldnt either. But he seems to be really having fun with it so its cool to see that.

I said, lets combine the two , meaning, we take the best and or accurate parts of both paint schemes and combine them into one, are you ****** with me on purpose ?

I'm really OCD about the small stuff when it comes to cars, hell I bet most fans wouldn't know the difference between the DW car and Hamlin's tribute. They could have at least got the right shade of orange though. DW's was a reddish orange and MUCH brighter

I agree with you, I’ve come around on it. Like I said maybe Fed Ex wanted to make sure they had some of their own colors on there. Lmao

I agree that Hamlins throwback is not perfect, but it does what it suppose to do, for me, and that is make me think of DW's Western Auto Parts #17 Lumina from the 90's, could they have done better ? of course, but its just close enough that it works to make you think of what it suppose to be.

And, we all agree that Ricky Jr's version is the wrong colors, but they got more the actual theme correct, so when I said if would could combine both themes we could have the perfect theme , I was hoping you would understand that I was saying we take the parts they got right from Rickys and the parts they got right from Hamlins and we would have a much closer throwback that is more accurate, minus the not so bright redish orange.

I agree. I see a ton of those things as well. I’m surprised they’re not able to get them really darn close to perfect. When we can catch the things that could be done a little better... that’s probably not good.

There’s too many resources available. And the people who work on the cars are pros. I don’t think it’s much to ask for... getting the car to look as best it can.

When a sponsor changes the colors of the car for their own use... that’s a different story.

But a team trying to replicate the colors exactly. We shouldn’t be able to see imperfections easily.

Hell a lot of us might even be surrounded by some of the memorabilia of those original cars.

Its all good buddy, having a good time discussing this and trying to be on the same page with you. I probably did my part it making hard to understand what I was saying or the page that I was on.
