Southern 500 RACE thread -- Darlington

I like all the Chevy teams in the top 5. But I expect JGR to get up there and soon.

Stupid Hamlin and his stupid team butchering the greatest paint scheme of all time. Great idea, poor execution

I admit at the time I thought it looked good. But when it hit the track this week... ehhh, it doesn’t hold up as well next to most others.

Again, NBC, FOX when you do a radio transmission from the in car put up a closed caption!!! 9 times out of ten we cant understand it!!

Jimmie has 3 wins and is active leader...it’s incredible Jeff Gordon had 6 wins at Darlington and 4 straight Southern 500’s which is a career statistic of his that never gets enough love.
You might think youre cool but youre never as cool as Jeff Gordon winning the Southern 500 with no water in the engine.

Well for starters, it's the wrong shade of orange. There's a number of other issues but I'm nitpicky :D

Maybe it’s by bad eye sight but it doesn’t look to bad.

Larson’s how ever is so off it really is noticeable. Even to a blind mfer like me.

Stage 1
1 - Kurt Busch
48 - Jimmie Johnson
42 - Kyle Larson
18 - Kyle Busch
11 - Denny Hamlin
9 - Chase Elliott
2 - Brad Keselowski
22 - Joey Logano
19 - Martin Truex Jr.
20 - Erik Jones

And he won 4 straight during the day when it was hot and those guys wheeled that car around the track

On the 42, I think it's the satin wrap they use. It needs to be high gloss

JJ made up a 26 point deficit in one stage. Wow, that’s kind of impressive

Some of the throwbacks look amazing if you had never seen the original car

I want Jimmie to win as much as I want him to never use that paint scheme ever again.

He’s doing well but long way to go and he has a habit recently of moving backwards after starting well.

And Byron really paying for that stubborn lug nut.
