Sprint All-Star Pre-race Race Thread

I probably still won't find a t*rd as big as this race is going to be :)

I appreciate your right to your opinion..

This race is my favorite race of the year. There is no points racing, the only prize is two million dollars and the drivers race from the start of the race until the checkered flag.It is a night race. Man, I could go on and on.

What do you find so offensive about this race?

Nothing offensive, just not my thing. I'm not really a fan of All-Star events in any sport. The fact that NASCAR has one seems kind of pointless, since all the stars are on the track every week anyway. If you like it, I hope you enjoy it on Saturday night.

I think NASCAR's all-star event is the best going on. The NBA and NFL editions are a joke. MLB and NHL versions are bearable but not as good as this weekend's.

I say the All-Star race should be ran on a road course. Who really cares it's just a bunch of rednecks racing anyway.:sarcasm:

Where is Andy when you need him, we need an all star race haters thread pronto so they can go over there, bitch, and leave us alone, oh never mind we would just go over there and give them hell on their side, evens out I guess.

The bucket list revisited....

Never miss a chance to experience a race.

Never turn down a cold beer.

Never trust a fart.

:D

that pretty much sums up my feelings about the event as well

also, the fact that they constantly change the rules regarding the format and who is eligible to compete has turned it into a far bigger circus than it needs to be

He'll be there just like everyone else will be. Heck, there should be no misunderstanding as to what this thread is about yet they still read/post. Nobody's fooling anyone on here.

then again, let's not forget the first sentence of the first post to this thread . . .

think about it. JJ last year ran around in back and if I remember right he had some company in the rear also. Can't blame them for playing it smart. This year if they want to do that, they will be back in the pack(with Danica) instead of on the front row for the big money race. I call that change for the good. I can understand why Toyoda doesn't want to watch it, it hasn't been a good race for his brand. But there are crying towels for the import fans, and they will be peaking around it thru the tears, watching it like the rest of us.:)

I like that they continue to tweak the rules. People bitch that they don't like rule changes but they don't give a reason as to why. And who cares if they change things up? It's an exhibition race. At least they are trying to appease the unappeasable. :)

I'll make sure I pack my passport next time I cross the border into Kentucky :)

If this race is pointless...then so are most of the other sports. I mean...the Pro Bowl? Really? Those guys hardly even try. That game means absolutely nothing!

Sort of off topic...but has anyone checked the forecast? Looks like they are calling for storms Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.

Looks like they had a lot of fans in the stands yesterday afternoon. Wait a second..... Damn, those seat colors always confuse me. If you can't get them through the gate just paint them in.

Keselowski holding court @ Charlotte on Thursday. Anyone know what is up with the hood design on the #2 car? Is that some sort of collage of pictures or something?

Pretty wild watching these guys fly down pit road again. Kasey Kahne was at 151 MPH at pit entrance.
