Sprint Cup Race Thread - Dover

This guy's just too good at saving fuel. 12th place for Ricky Stenhouse.

Stewart trying to blame his tough finish on the cautions, but he's actually lucky to finish 20th. His car was junk this entire race. The cautions had nothing to do with his finish.

If Brad drove a Ford he may have no wins which makes me think that Penske is making a mistake.

Kyle doesn't get an interview. The non chasers get zero attention if they finish outside the top five. Edwards finally got a top five. Did they interview him?

I wouldn't mind seeing Kez give Roger his first Nascar Championship.

Me neither. He's won at Talladega twice already, so he could put some distance on the rest nest week. But, it is Talladega. You never know. Dover was by far Brads worst chase track, and he turned a 4th place into a win.

I wonder who will be the first media talking head to remember early this year when Brad was having fuel pickup problems that may have cost him a win or 2. At that time, Penske said they were working on something to drain the tank better. It sure is paying off with a driver who knows how to save fuel. We saw how he does it at Kansas, and so did Tony. Tony used the same clutch kick to save fuel and get his first 2 of 5 chase wins on his way to a championship.

More than Dodge. I don't know about the rest. In any case, they are all close enough that handeling and forward bite is more important.

Biffle wasn't very happy with his HP today. ;)

What was the last race a FORD won?

Without looking, I think FORD has won two or three races the last thirty times at Dega. Chevy owns that track.

True, but I wasn't talking about Chevy vs Ford or even Fords winning Talladega. Matt seems to think Brad has a horsepower advantage over the Fords. I don't think that's the case. I also know that Roush's problems in THIS chase aren't related to HP.

More horsepower does no good if the cars suck. Right now the Fords just suck.

But at RP tracks Ford has a distinct advantage because of cooling.

It's hard to tell just by numbers, because there are 12 or 13 upper tier teams running Chevy. Ford really has just 3 right now. Chevy drivers have a lot to choose from when working with another driver. But Fords run up front enough to know they aren't limping around the track down on HP.

I love NASCAR. It's just so damn much fun. I have watched my guy not win and go 2 2 4. What r the odds.

Even with Bonehead On the BOS

To further show off his fuel-saving skills, Keselowski should have driven the #2 all the way back to Charlotte after the race.
