The 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race

Dude Carb Day went off. Apparently "PT invited half of Lake Havasu"...

It looked that way. The ladies were loving it. Good for Indy and good for Indianapolis. I love this ****.

I'm rooting for Graham Rahal and Townsend Bell on Sunday. Others too, but mainly those two.

I saw an estimate by USA Today (I think) that said it was close to 100,000 people.

SportsCenter on the Road live from Pagoda Plaza on Saturday 9 AM-12 PM Eastern and 8-9 AM and 10-11 AM on Sunday.

No way in hell there are there that many Journey fans in Indianapolis.

Looks more like EDC than the IMS infield in May.

I'm pulling for two things...Sato to finish the race and Sage to stay out of the wall for awhile.

As far as who wins - I really don't care since we can't have Ashley Judd (my all-time...you know) ..running down to Victory Lane bare-footed (A man's dream)

Days like tomorrow are one of the only issues I have with living on the leftward coast... It's going to be an early day. I have to get up at like 4:30 if I want to watch the end of the 24 hours of The Green Hell and Monaco starts at 5 I think.

I thought I heard them say during Carb Day that this year’s race is the first one in history to be completely sold out! I also heard that they are expecting about 350,000 between the stands and the infield? Did I hear that right? Can that possibly be true? That’s fantastic if it is.

First sellout in at least two decades, definitely the first sellout post-split. They lifted the local TV blackout earlier this week.

Imo it was to be expected. Its the 100th.

Who was the rookie last year with tons of speed? Ryan Hunter Rey?

Lol @ how much taller the Americans are than the majority of the others

To have Foyt, Mario and Michael Andretti, Bobby Rahal, Roger Penske and so many other legends still here for this.

Makes me so happy to be a race addict, a die-hard motorsport fan to celebrate what has been one of the greatest races known to man.

Let's get this going.

Good Clean start....love this racing package. I know it takes a little bit away from the tradition of innovation at Indy....but the actual racing is great.

I remember sitting out under the maple tree at home (we didn't have a Sycamore) listening to the 500 with Dad on the radio. He would have his clipboard and track the various drivers. I'd always pull for A.J. Great memories.

Indy pre-race gives me chills and makes me watery-eyed everytime. Not even the America stuff either, really.. The crowd, history, just damnnnnnnnn.
The Rose Bowl of racing and then some. The pageantry is incredible.

Some of our NASCAR drivers would have tough time with those high-tech steering "wheels".

A digital read out of seconds on pitroad installed on the car? Badass!
