Remember my B-52 story this sure made me think of it big time...crank it up listen to that power...View attachment 16124 View attachment 16124

We live across the Sacramento River about 35 miles from Travis Air Force Base and we used to live in their flight path coming into Travis. They were low and were loud enough to think they were coming in my front door! While living in Hawaii, my daughter flew home to California a couple of times in B-52's for a wedding she was in and such. It's free for all military, with a limited seating, but a wife of a soldier is low on the list...so she only did it twice cuz the last time, she kept being bumped trying to get back to Hawaii. We finally had to pay her commercial airfare to get here back home.

Try to stay dry Naz, we're getting A LOT of rain and it comes down hard....but I'm not complaining.......we really need it.

They are such awesome jets they blow me away any time I see them.... I have been close to them taken off and landing so I knows the noise they make is crazy loud......Hell its free and in a 52 had to be a crazy ride............Not a whole lot to do or look at though cept noise......

Yeah we been getting rain almost every day I love it!!! We have another storm comen in tonight!!! I'm trying I was bringing in the trash cans today I felt a few drops by the time I got to the gate some 30 foot from the street it was comen down! Hope it keeps up......

Hi there Pat......Sounds like KyleFan and K-Mart have similar type jobs just different equipment....

Man, its amazing what those young men endured back then ...........we wouldnt be living the lives we are if it wasnt for them. my father was involved with an airplane photo unit in the south pacific, they would fly over an island and take pictures of what the Japanese were doing prior to landing troops

Yep it can't be any fun at all I am not sure of Mr K I think he works in the rain but maybe not the fields would be all muddy.....

Yes that's for sure and they were young men 19-20 years old.... Oh cool those guys really took a big risk I have seen shows about them and from what I have seen none of those planes were armed....

I've heard him complain about that and working in the cold.

Just cameras for the most part, they got shot at quite often though, the riveters were busy day and night repairing bullet holes

LOL........... Funny you should mention that Naz...... I have spent all day today preparing for tommorrow. We have a large 4 wheel drive tractor 2 hours north that was just delivered. The new guys in the shop didn't tighten the outside dual wheels correctly. One has fallen off and the other 3 have slid on the axle. All 4 have to come off and the hubs replaced. It's in a muddy area with little access. I have been cutting up railroad cross ties all afternoon and loading them and 3/4 drive tools. I have to go try to drive the inside tires up on the railroad ties to get the outside tires off the ground. I cut a bunch of them because the tractor is so heavy, it will just keep shoving them in ground until they hit solid. Tremendous job all because the newbies didn't do it correctly the first time. Supposed to be a high of 33 degrees, 10 mile an hour wind with snow, sleet and rain. I sure dread it.

YIKES!!! That has to be nerve racking knowen you have nothing to shoot back or defend your self with.....
