Anyways, I had three cans of the stuff. It's now Monday morning and I am still hungover. Never got a buzz either. Amazing I can put down a 12-pack of any other beer and feel fine the next morning. That stuff is worse than Schlitz! Which btw is damn near impossible to do.

Um, yes... Almost anything is better than bottles of Bud.

I think I still have my first church key somewhere.
 
Bet there's a few here who have no idea of a church key is.
 
We have pull tabs on our pop and beer cans and I have a key to the Church.

When I was a young fella, I had to fill enough jars to last 2 shifts until I went back in for my shift. 24 operation and I had the key to the lock on the drum of oil.
Life was fun way back then.
 
I'm enjoying a Grain Belt Lock & Dam lager (a new offering). Its taste is between Grain Belt Premium (my house beer) and Nordeast (an amber lager).
 
I having a Miller Lite because that is what I could afford when I bought a 6 pack the other day.
 
So Budweiser is doing a campaign this summer where they are renaming their "beer" America. New labels and all. So this summer, you will be able to proudly proclaim that "America sucks" and many Americans will agree with you. :D

That's more than likely because PBR has no alcohol in it.....


Regular Bud red label longnecks for me....
 
When I moved to Fla in 1969 it was Busch beer that was the #1 seller but it said ''Busch Bavarian Beer'' on the label.
Completely different taste when they removed the Bavarian from the label years later.

Narragansett was a good local beer until bad management killed the company in the early 70's and it was sold to Fosters IIRC. Then it really sucked and deserved the name weasel whizz.
 
Any and all Boulevard beers for me - Love the 80 Acre and Tank 7. Most of the Smokestack Series beers are tasty as well.
 
After trying a number of the funky named beers I discovered that funny names are usually crappy beer. One of the employees at my local liquor store became a trusted resource and I tried his recommendations. I noticed that a some brewery sites list the bitterness of their beers. I didn't know there was an International Bitterness Unit (IBU). I like the lower IBU beers (lager, amber ale, porter), I'm not a fan of IPAs.

  • everyday American lagers, 8-15 IBU
  • ordinary bitter, 25-35 IBU
  • India Pale Ale (American versions), 40-70 IBU (the American “Imperial” or “double” IP ales go as high as 120 IBU)
  • Russian Imperial Stout, up to 90 IBU

IPAS and Stouts are my favorites, weak beer isn't in my fridge.
