No, you're not, but if you also feel that way, why aren't you wearing ear plugs?
I see the big advantage of quieter engines being that fans can talk to each other about what's going on.
Yeah, no one is there selling plugs at test sessions. I keep a pair in a seat cushion compartment, just in case.Actually, I do wear ear plugs during races. However, my dad and I went to CMS for a testing session once (a day or two after the Fall 2011 race), and we forgot to bring our ear plugs. The engines were painfully loud, and it was difficult to enjoy my time at the testing session.
Recently, I took a hearing test, and it turns out I hear a narrower range of frequencies than someone my age should be able to hear. I have to wonder if it's because of attending loud races (though maybe there's some other reason).
