The New and Improved Allmendinger Thread

I'm hoping. I thik he and Kez have very simular driving styles and would complement each other very well. It makes things easier on the engineers and CC's.

But if they don't and Keselowksi tanks next year, you'll have something to blame it on ;) Always look for the positive side of things as it's usually there somewhere :D

NASCAR had the results of the test and they let AJ practice????

Sorry but I had to jump back to this one before people start to believe this to be true. AJ & NASCAR were both notified on the afternoon of July 7th of the failed drug test. NASCAR immediately suspended him after notification. There was no practice that afternoon. It was Saturday, the day of the race.

I am digging and scratching to find reference to this. It may have been a test or something. If I remember correctly, the MO had the results two full days before informing NASCAR.

As for the link you posted, read #4.

4. “I’m not a (doctor, toxicology, pharmacist, chemist) and I don’t understand everything”. Perfectly fair. Then find someone who does understand it and get them to explain it
.

I will keep looking into this.

With AJ being fired now I think his Cup career is pretty much over. Maybe he can get something in trucks or perhaps Nationwide.

True, not a doctor but she's done the homework. You can certainly take it for what it's worth but she's gone into great detail to explain it.

It wasn't NASCAR that knew of the positive results before testing, it was the MRO. The result was first know, again not by NASCAR, on July 4th. On July 4th the positive 'A' sample was sent to the MRO for his review of the findings. Once verified, AJ and NASCAR were informed on July 7th. I think that is what you are referring to?

Homophobia and bigotry on this board? I am shocked! Hey, I am somewhat intolerant of idiots and the delusional so it all evens out. ;)

So if AJ goes to Indy car right away I wonder if NASCAR will think he's thumbing his nose at them by returning to a race track in a major series.

An intolerant homophobic delusional bigot I just unfriended on Facebook has the same profile picture that you use as an avatar. Stange, huh?
I'msure you made him happy when you unfriended him.I know I would be.It's people like you that just made me stand in line for 45 mins to get a spicy chicken sandwich.

Keep up with the names since it makes you happy.Just so you know Chick-Fil- A does have high chairs for children.

Can a man not enjoy Spicy Chicken?
Maybe that's a question both sides shall answer:D

It could be the answer to a lot of questions.

I think it's fairly amazing what Kez is able to accomplish with very little stability in his career so far. He's in his 3rd year, and Paul Wolfe is the 5th Cup CC he has raced with, and he won with 2 of them. He has Kurt as a teammate, then AJ and his new CC, and now Sam and whoever else in the #22. Brad really is the only guy driving a Dodge this year, so they don't have anyone to lean on. The 22 team is on an island all by themselves, but they have 3 wins and 10 top tens and are solid for the chase. It's a very stout accomplishment by that team.

I actively eschew such establishments.:)

I listened to this too. Did you also listen to Lee Spencer after she had just got off of the phone with AJ early this afternoon? She is going to be talking to him again soon. I think we're pretty close to hearing more from AJ's side about all of this.

Apparently AJ was speaking so fast, Lee Spencer couldn't understand a word of what he said.

Unbelievable really . In an age where Nascar has had to limit the big teams in size to keep their competitive advantage in check , Brad is practically a one car team. Add to that ,the lack of other Dodge products on track sharing information , it's unreal . Next year , he'll go crazy with a ton of new Ford teammates and Ford engineers inputting information. It will be very interesting .Even more so if they can get the second car up to his level (but I'm not sure that will happen).

I'm thinking he becomes Fords new golden boy. The kid's a bit whacky (which I enjoy. Tongue kissing the bricks at Indy was classic Brad), but he's so damn focused on his goals. I truely believe that he and Logano would tear up the track in 2 years. Joey will learn aggression from Brad, and Brad will learn how to get along with others a little better.

I like the Bad Brad/Joey combination too. Brad needs a solid teammate to work with and Penske needs stability (on and off the track) in the 22 and I think Joey can be both.

I would really like to see Logano or perhaps Vickers in that ride , but sadly , I think Penske will honor his committment to Hornish.

Yeah, it's all about stability, and we all know Sam isn't very stable on the track.

Roger seems to be hedging on Sam next year. Said he wants him to be successful in NW first, and they have the sponsors lined up. IMO, Sam would have to do real well this year to get the ride next year. Roger can always tell Sam that shell wanted Logano. I'm really hoping Roger listens to what Brad tells him about on track talent, which I'm sure he does. While Penske is promoting Sam, Brad is on twitter pointing out things like Logano having 6 NW and Cup wins this year. lol

I think Sam has had plenty of oppurtunity in Penske equipment and has shown he's not an asset to their NASCAR program. I think it'd be a bad move to keep him in there, even to the end of the year. If I was Penske, I'd try a couple different drivers in there and really make the 22 a test car for the 2 and have all the resources focused to get Brad a championship.
