He was the only person in the race to have an "onboard computer" of any kind. I found that extremely interesting and rather historical...

1988 Motorcraft 500, Legendary broadcaster Keith Jackson's ONLY flag-2-flag NASCAR race. He did other NASCAR events but they were always part of ABC's wide-world of sports spectaculars. It's also Earnhardt's first win in a points race driving the famed black #3. This is pure gold....

I know he sat on the pole in a cup race at Martinsville and led a bunch of laps, don't remember the year. He tore some short track pavement up back in the day...
