Just glancing back at this thread at all of the people on here that were going to go to this race. How many of you actually went out and got tickets?

I have four tickets. Anyone who had previous Prelude tickets was given an early opportunity to purchase tickets.

Me, 2 tickets and a camping spot in lot 1.

Fantastic. I need to PM you some questions about camping there if you don't mind?
Let me know any goodies you findout about DP.

We are in the same lot then. I've got sites #13 & #14 in row #1. Still trying to locate a golf cart to cruse around in. I have access to a gator but they don't allow them there. :(

I'm simply trying to find out if there is a place to fill our RV water tank upon arrival rather than paying to have it delivered. I've emailed the track but have yet to get a response. I've also reached out to fellow forum members that are being quite helpful.

That track looks like it is in the middle of nowhere. Heck, the closest WalMart is over 14 miles away. I didn't think you could get any more than 10 miles from one of those. This looks like a great place to take the mini fridge rather than renting ice. I can fit up to two case in there if I stack it right. I don't know what the other people will do in my group but I'll be all set. :D

Looks like the stash of bottles of BL in the spare bunk will go up to 6 cases, you'll only be 7 rows back in case you have a shortage emergency. :D I'm taking 5 five gallon cans of gas for the generator, should be enough. I dont know your route but I found a rest area with potable water 31 miles from the track on I-70, I'll just fill up there. I have access to a golf cart but no way to get it there, thats one of the reasons I got the spot closest to the track.

I won't be on 70 but I will be on 75 for a short period of time. Where did you find out the info on the water at the rest areas or do all rest areas in OH have that available?

Good to know about the beer. Backup plans are in order.

I have two 30 gallon tanks in my toy hauler. One for the on board generator and one for the toy fuel station. I also have a spare generator that I bring as a backup. I normally bring one five gallon can and then fill it from the on board fuel station.

I called the Ohio DOT and talked to the facilities supervisor, he said that all Ohio rest areas have potable water faucets but it may take a really long hose to reach. :D If that walmart 14 miles from the track is full service with a gas station, they have water spigots, that would do in a pinch.

Thanks. I just found a FLying J Travel Center along my route not too far away from the destination.

DP, a lot of the Flying J Travel Centers have a dump station and water fill up for trucks and rv's that you can use for a small fee. If all I need to do is fill up the water tanks for the lounge in the hauler then I usually just pull into the truck fuel islands and use the waterhose to fill up. You can look on their website and see which Travel Centers have dump stations.

I have a dump station at my house. I've posted from there actually. One of the many advantages of using Tapatalk:cool:

Thanks for the info. I use the Flying J's a lot for just that purpose. That is a great service for us RV'ers out there. It's only $5 to dump everywhere that I've been. I did not know though that truck fuel islands have water available. I will keep that in mind on all future travels.

Every track that I've stayed at to date has always had a place you can stop and fill your water tanks. I think my tank is 80 or 90 gallons. If I ever use more than that during my stay I have a 35 gal tank that I use to refill.

If you ever need to dump and fill up water at Bristol, there is one about half way down on the right side of the dragstrip next to the shower and restrooms. But I don't know if you can get in there on a Nascar weekend.

Can't find a dump station? Use your nearest Port-O-lav for outstanding fun.

Thanks, I do camp there at The Landing Campground above the drag strip. We have access to both a dump station and water on Tier #2. Bristol, as in all other Bruton Smith owned tracks, does it right.

BUMP.

Tickets on the way next week DP, should receive them before March 1.

dpk, just don't leave Johali alone with any of your pets. I heard he tried to shoot a deer from the stands at Bristol.
Nope. For some reason they confiscated my 30-06 at the gate of the spring race last year, but not to worry I picked it up after the race.

Damn tootin. :D  Looking into renting a golf cart somewhere close, pick it up when we get there and take it back Thursday morning before we leave, got a couple of leads.
