Truck race considered at Eldora

Don't forget the Tuesday late models DP, they should put on a good show with the big ass crowd that's gonna be there.

4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. NCWTS Practice
6:30 p.m. Eldora Dirt Late Models
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. NCWTS Practice
7:00 p.m. NASCAR Registration closes
9:00 p.m. Eldora Dirt Late Model Invitational (25 laps)
 
Im thinking you two should make this a private convorsation.

Im driving my wife nuts trying to get her to pull a loan to let me go. ;)
 
No and the torture is just getting started, you might have to ignore this thread. :D
 
They showed a segment during truck practice today where they had asked the drivers how they felt about going to Eldora and most of them were very excited about hitting the dirt. There were only a couple of drivers that didn't want to go. Ross Chastain said that if we can't keep it straight on asphalt then why should we go to dirt. My feeling is if you can't run on dirt then you probably shouldn't be on asphalt.

If they can't run straight on asphalt, I'm thinking they should go run dirt for a while.

Golf cart on order Johali. I thought about adding drink holders but then I figured, why bother? I probably won't set it down anyhow. :D

Over the years I've found that I was born with two perfectly good drink holders. :D Probably order the eu3000is next week, $1999.00 total, no tax or shipping at Wise Sales, thanks for the tip. I'll have the laptop with me on our trip and keep in touch, if they open the hillsides to claim spots before we get there, probably Monday, maybe you can chair up two spots for us. :cheers:

Will Eldora still allow golf carts for that race? Seems I remember a few years ago (it may have only been temporary) that they said no golf carts were allowed outside the camping area. Or else I'm thinking of somewhere else.

When I called them after ordering my tickets they said only golf carts were allowed. No ATV's, Gators, etc..... I sure hope that hasn't changed. I just made quite the investment and Eldora was the selling point that I used with the wife. I may catch hell over this yet if you are correct. :(
 
From there web site.....

Golf Carts - Golf Carts are welcome in the Speedway campgrounds, but must meet Speedway safety specifications. The Golf Cart Permit station will be near the Middle Gate (Turn 4). Hours of operation will be posted. All Golf Carts will be required to be registered and must display an Eldora Speedway 2012 Golf Cart Permit. Golf Cart parking is outside of the Turn 4 gate. NO Golf Carts are permitted in the main parking lot. STATE LAW: Golf Carts are not permitted on any roadway. ATVs, Gators, Mules, etc are not permitted in the campgrounds.



A 2012 Golf Cart Permit? I bet those are hard to get these days. ;)

Got my Tuesday Night Tailgate tickets today, got to give thumbs up to Eldora for mailing all of their tickets quickly. :D :cheers: I bought our Loudon tickets 2 month's ago, 3/29, I've called twice and both times they said don't worry they will be there in time for the race, I said I would be leaving early but she said, we have years of experience just let us handle the tickets. :mad:
 
I'm sick of this thread . You know Fender and I are going to the vintage Mini Cooper Races in Barcelona . Sorry , no extra tickets or cervezas .;)
 
I was wondering how long until everyone got overly depressed with this thread, myself included. Keep the countdown going though!!! Can't wait for exclusive pictures and video of the week :D

I've been warning all of you, do not have any women or children around you when you open the Eldora thread when we are there, I promised the toadies that I would post pictures of DP in his jorts and crocs, look out world. By the way this thread aint goin anywhere and me or DP will bump it up every so often. :p

Marked my camping spots on the map of Eldora. Stop by and have a beer or ten with Johali & I. I'll be in Lot #1, Row #1, sites #13 & #14.

With Scott Bloomquist being investigated by the Hawkins County police department, I'm not sure he will be in this event.

Before you make that promise to Matt you'd better make sure that new generator of yours can handle the power requirements of his latte machine. If not, we may be able to run our generators in parallel to accommodate him otherwise he'll have to settle for Folgers Colombian Blend.

He won't be there. He might get dirty and have to get more than his two facials a week.
 
I'm like a 70 year old kid waiting on Christmas, Eldora bound. I still haven't gotten my Loudon tickets yet, now they say it's because they are trying to sell specialty tickets and want to save postage and mail them at the same time, I told the lady that I wasn't going to buy anything else that $396 for tickets for two people was enough and again she said "you'll getem in time goodbye".

Can you print them from their web site? I know a couple of Bruton's other tracks allows you to do this.
 
I asked and she said no, if they haven't arrived in two weeks I'll call the ticket office manager Stephen Torrisi and if that doesn't work I'll call the general manager Jerry Gappens.

That's my last option, had to do that at Texas one time but I'd rather have them in my paw when I leave, oh I'm a gator it's claw.

Good Lord , you guys haven't even left yet . My kids have grown up and left home while you been planning this trip. Did you pack extra Bud Light in case Andy drops by ? Go, ..leave .., ..have a good time ...see ya ...write if ya can ...good bye ...
