Aint ever been to the Florida Gulf coast I take it.
The great bar by the "pier" at P'cola Beach is the Dock and if you didn't see any Panama Hats then you were in the Dock too long, even the convenience stores sell them.Only long enough to carve Ted loves Nascar on the bathroom wall at Florabama . Also caught a few beads at the Pensacola Beach Mardi Gras Parade and got to meet Marcia Ball at that great bar by the wharf at Pensacola Beach.Never saw a Panama Hat though. Perhaps I should have checked out the lawn bowling .
I'm the guy in the Panama Hat on the Maid Of The Mist boat in the first picture. It's one helluva good time up here, err oh uh, I'm busted, yep I'm having a blast.
We are doing the Canadian side tomorrow.
Another heads up for you camping at the track. I was told by someone that has camped there for their larger events that they are charging $1/gal to fill your RV water tank. I find that very hard to believe but seeing as I've never been to Eldora I can't confirm or deny it. If that is true then that's an outrageous price. I was told by their camping contact that they do not have a spigot where you can fill upon your arrival. Fill that tank before you get there. I called the Walmart in Celina and was told that I could fill for free at their lawn/garden department. That's a pretty good deal and only about 20 miles from the track. Also, in Celina, their local fairgrounds will allow you to fill your tank on your way through. $5 to fill there. That is absolutely worth the price. It is only about 18 miles from the track.I don't know about 14 but you'll know when I'm there.
I bought a mini fridge hoping to use that but I see that the generators need to be down during the late evening hours. I probably can't keep the adult beverages at the right temp if I have to turn it off at night. Looks like I'll be renting ice as well.I have had everything packed and ready to go since last Saturday. I have to add ice and drain the damn coolers twice a day.

Your number sounds more like my experiences at every other track that I've been to. I've got a 120 gal tank and there will be six of us.The company that fills the water tanks is from an off site campground. If I remember correctly, they charge $10 to fill a water tank. I believe they also provide waste services.
Ice is worth its weight in gold for some reason.

Wait a minute..... waste services too? Not at the same time, right?
Yes, you can't go wrong renting ice.
That I've done..... many times. What I haven't done though is have the truck that emptied my holding tank fill my water tank. You have to draw the line somewhere. Are you saying that you have never taken a cold one to the Porto-potty?
What goes in must come out...
I pulled up the regulations which stated "Generators are allowed however "courtesy" quiet time is 1:30 AM to 6:30 AM" HOWEVER I called and asked and was told by the camping coordinator (937-338-3815) that the Honda Inverter Series of Generators are allowed to run around the clock because of their low decibel levels. Happy times are here again.I bought a mini fridge hoping to use that but I see that the generators need to be down during the late evening hours. FYI for those attending.....

Ate Buffalo Hot Wings at the original birthplace of Buffalo Hot Wings, The Anchor Bar on Main St. Buffalo NY. Damn they are good and very different from any others I have eaten.
Yep.Nice picture of you with the take out order.
Yep.
Some would call that wooden faced, probably because it was carved out of a single log with a chain saw.A little stone faced . You could be a good lookin man if you smiled .

No doubt that Johali will beat me there. I'm traveling with two women, my wife and daughter. He only has one to slow him down.First one at the track, give me a heads up, and I'll put up a sticky thread for our great adventurers.
