I hear you GP , I am reserving judgement till I see it . It could be really great (a short track , with attitude) or really bad , (a road course in the rain).
 
Look at the maps on page 4, me'n DP will have plenty of BL, come by and have one.

Some truck teams will be visiting Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia for some practice this week.
 
When is your arrival at Eldora DP.

Is there anyone on this board that has camped at Eldora for a race before? I'm having a horrible time getting in touch with anyone from the track..... busy signal. I've got some specific questions about camping there so please PM me if you've camped there.

PM me your questions and I will call my bud. I have stayed there several times but slept in an ambulance in the pits. :eek:

Somehow I'm thinking not.

I didn't have this much trouble getting through to them the day I bought the tickets and camping. I wonder if they are taking an extended holiday and simply left the phone off the hook?
 
That's what I was thinking, I got right through when I bought all my stuff also.
 
Just got a message from Eldora, they are closed today.
 
Arrived at Lake Hartwell SC and all is well, first day of the Eldora road trip Odyssey, FL, AL, GA, SC, in the bag, pop a top time. :D
 
Damn this is terrible, the wife making me spend a day here laying around and fishing before hitting the road in the morning.

NC and VA in the bag, 8 or 9 hour legs every other day isn't too bad, We'll lay around here in Mt. Jackson Va. in the Shenandoah Valley tomorrow. This Odyssey business is a lot of fun.
 
Well, no water spigots at the speedway per an email received from the track. Johali, Your final leg of your trip to the speedway looks to be the same as mine. Have you already mapped out a location to fill your RV somewhere close to the track? I saw a Flying J somewhat close to the track but no RV service is available. I'd like to arrive with a full tank if possible rather than pay to fill as soon as I get there. Does anyone out there know if you can fill a water tank at any truck stop? All of the NASCAR track campgrounds that I've ever been to have had a place to fill upon arrival. I'm surprised that Eldora doesn't provide that as well.
