Truck RACE thread --- Atlanta

I sure wish we had TV coverage for trucks. I will also be glad when the Olympics are done.
I couldn't find any streaming for trucks and I admit I looked all over my computer. I even dusted around it. :D
I agree with you about the Olympics being over. Sucks you dont get Truck coverage up there.

And for you computer comment :lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2:

It looks like 3 race suspension in the truck series. One little bitty fly in the ointment is that KDB was using a Stewart Haas pit crew. Part of Boyer's and part of Kurt's

gees who knows it is Nascar's rule book..Looks like there may be some outs. Who knows

It is up to NASCAR to determine what is considered "improperly installed," and whether NASCAR would interpret it as a violation of the rule is still to be determined. The rule is designed to keep tire changers from hitting only three or four lug nuts instead of five -- there obviously is no time advantage to loosen lug nuts and not change a wheel. But having a wheel come off anywhere on the track is considered a major safety issue.

here is another part:

When NASCAR suspended crew members last year because of the rule, the suspensions were for all NASCAR series. The rule book does give NASCAR the option to make it for only one series.

NASCAR wouldn't comment on any potential penalties as it reviews the circumstances and typically announces any decision Tuesday or Wednesday after the race weekend.

It involves kybu so there'll be some kind of spin on the rules and an out for his CC. There always is when it involves kybu the yoter untouchable.

Well, how about this. You all know how I fell about Kyle Busch, but in this circumstance, I don't feel ANY penalty is justified. At the MOST, I would penalize the crew chief one race for letting the driver go with loose wheels. This is NOT the over the wall guys fault, why the hell should THEY get penalized, ESPECIALLY when there was no intent to break the rule here. As far as I'm concerned, the mistake was self penalizing. Kyle finished 21st in a race he probably would have won. I for one am kind of sick and tired of NASCAR leveling draconian penalties for what are obvious mistakes, not attempts to cheat.

In this instance It's a "Safety" concern not necessarily a cheating concern.

It will be whatever Nascar determines it to be. If nothing else, somebody is going to be shelling out cash.

Just another example of where NASCAR fails to fully think through these rule changes and all of the nuances that may get swept up into one of their vague descriptions. Sometimes you REALLY have to wonder about the quality of the people they get to do this stuff. NASCAR's standard mode of operation is 1) ignore, 2) fail to react at all when they can't ignore, 3) Wildly overreact, 4) adjust back to something slightly more reasonable.
