Trucks In Canada

Who understands you guys..

Last week there was an outcry (me included) about Kahne not having balls to rough Kenseth for the win and now a guy does just that and you're condemming him for playing hard ball?

I'm sorry is this racing or what?
That didn't include me. Wrong then, wrong now.

Could have been worse. Linda Petty pulled a gun on somebody way back when.

Coming from a King's fan this astounds me. Out of 200 wins how many do you think he won by dumping, messing someone up?

All this assuming you're a Petty fan afterall.

Didnt ask me, but it was a small percentage at the most.

Negligible.

Two young drivers and one was not racing for points and has no wins. He was going to go for it period. Its just part of the sport. I dont condone wrecking people for wins but this was the last lap and last corner. Stuff happens. I would have been pissed if Chase didnt go for it. But I can understand the Dillon fans being pissed. I would be if the shoe was on the other foot.

Good job Chase Elliott.

Nothing is negligible in this sport, c'mon Greg.

Small percetange or not, it was done.

I've got no problem with last lap bump and dumps -- especially at relatively low speeds. That's just part of the fun of racing. It's only at the high speed tracks where I disfavor it for safety concerns. At short tracks and road course? Go for it.

Fine.

Either way, you cant name me a driver who hasn't dumped another driver for one reason or another. Or can you? Lets hear.
The end of the race today was not the norm of days gone by. That is a gross exaggeration. You can certainly live off of selected YouTube memories. That's what many on here do anyway. I've already stated my thoughts on it.

Ok you tell me, did you see Petty racing in the day when he was the king.

I didnt see it all but I did see it from 1971 forward, his last 119 wins. He didnt pull that kinda of chicken****.
The 76 500 was as rough as it got, and he didnt get the W for that one.

I certainly did not. Well before my time.

From the time you missed you cant say he didn't do this or that either so moot point.

most of them don't look at the big picture in the first place..Elliott walking around the shop and knowing he don't have a sponsor after three races..Young Ty got nothing to worry about. Pa Pa gotz it handled. Elliott's racing for his future career. And then we have these poo poo experts that are so lulled to sleep, they have been watching these silver spooners they forget what it takes to break into the big time.

I hope that woman is banned from all future NASCAR events.

I bet we haven't heard the last of this by a long shot. People simply can't go around slapping others without repercussions.

talent. that's what it takes to break into the big time. that move today took no talent. talent is Dillon getting in the window, saying what he had to say, and walking away.

silver spoon? do you know who elliot's dad is?

no sponsors? why do you think that is? possibly lack of skills. or maybe he tears up equipment?

poo poo experts? i'll never be as good as you!;)

Read what Standonit said.

By all accounts Papis assulted another driver so that warrants some type of penalty wouldn't you say?

Trust me, this slap will be on the commercial for the next Truck Series race, along with footage of the #3 truck spinning into the tire barrier.

The slap heard round the world. That'll be that talk of NASCAR Radio all week long I'm sure.

No offense intended but when you reference something with the certainty you profess, you should know the facts.

Petty has been compared to many things good and bad by those who finished behind him. The biggest knock I ever heard was that he had the best equipment, very little was mentioned about any type of roughing people up.

Many times Petty (and Pearson) just took care of their equipment, and allowed others to fall off due to attrition. There wasnt a whole lot of last lap drama when considered in it's entirety, no need to spin a man out for the win he was worn out about 100 miles before.

No dissconnet here, you just citied a flawed point, plain and simple.

Oh no offense taken Greg.

But when you race for as long as he did and win as many times as he did you cant expect all of those wins to be tidy and clean. Its just common sense.

Heck of a race. What the hell did Max do to deserve that slap? and what was that guy reaching for in Max's truck?

Racing in all series have been really strange today. Wonder whats in store for the Cup race tonight?

I hope we're not saying Chase has no talent just because he wrecks someone for the win. its the same guy who had one of the fastest trucks, is good everywhere and is only going to get better.

I'm okay with ppl hating the finish but lets not base your opinon on a 17 year old on one incident.

yeah, they were side by side for half a mile or more. Back n forth. race of the weekend so far.

Common sense? You referenced Petty to validate what happened today. When in fact that is misrepresentive of Pettys career and the way he raced.
