Upon Further Review: Joey Logano is NASCAR’s lightning rod but could be its next superstar

This is good hard racing. Respect. Since some of you apparently have never seen it. The Logano fans here seem to feel it's peefectly OK to just punt them out of the way. I disagree. RACE THEM. BEST MAN WINS.

Kurt visited Ricky in Victory Lane as well - respect!

So then u cant find any examples?

Go figure :D

I reqlly dont want to drag this out any more.. My point in this is that Joey races others the way he expects to he raced. Yeah he might do some unfavorable things but when hes on the opposite end of it he has always manned up and said he deserved it. Okay maybe not ALWAYS.. I cant speak on anything that happened before NASCAR.. Or even at JGR.. But since joining Penske he has a completely different attitude and has owned up to everything hes done. He knowws if you race hard your going to get raced hard.. "Sometimes ur the ball.. Sometimes ur the bat" right? You call him a punk.. I respect your opinion but I disagree. Lets let that be the end of it because this could go on all season lol
Let it go on all season because until Joey and Kyle change the way they go about racing, handling person disputes and generally being adults or pretending to be, we will have more of the same bull**** of them being punks. I get he is your favorite driver and he can drive that is for sure, but he is immature, sheltered individual, who IMO will never win a Championship until he grows up.

I love it when people go to a message board and lecture about how a generation needs to learn respect...I think every generation has said that about the following generation.

Luckily for mopahrd (or whatever) he didn't have to hear it from a 90 year old geeeezer on the internet...his barber probably told him.
I earned it DH

Yeah I get thats your opinion... nonetheless you are wrong.. I mean **** ur gona tell me he couldnt have won it last season? or the season before??.. give me a fkn break. Im drunk.. dont get me started right now lol

Its funny, those same primates that are lecturing about respect are the ones that never show it , oh well, I guess if everyone got along it would get pretty boring, just how boring the drivers personality have become.

Anyways, to be on topic, which I am not sure what it is at this point , but could JoLo become one of NACAR's next superstars?, maybe, he does have the talent to wheel a race car, and I see getting a lot more wins , and even a championship . On the flip side, I still think he still needs to grow a bit , but there are few drivers that are in need of that.

If i were a driver i would pass a hat with 35 straws in it. One short one. Short straw takes Joey out. Every. Week. About one full season of not finishing a race would straighten him right out. Had it done to a buddy of mine. I thought it was funny.

I understand what you are saying..... but....... I'd change your post from Joey to Kyle.....

KyBu intentionally slamming into Joey is the CAUSE, everything else was EFFECT.

Laughable that KyBu demands "data" from Joey after KyBu intentionally slams into Joey -- that is the the absurdest part of this story.

Well, maybe second only to KyBu kissing the pavement and getting chewed up in the yellow scrum until NASCAR Official in the white uniform carried him off. Pouty-face Rowdy disheveled and bloody after throwing his tantrum...

When I was a kid Jeff Gordon was my guy. When I would work with my dad, him and his customers would talk racing, specifically NASCAR. My dad was a Gordon fan and an Earnhardt fan because he grew up watching Dale so he was with the old school but he also liked Jeff because how he drove. They would give us a hard time for liking Jeff because he "was a punk, arrogant, snot nosed immature kid. " Fast forward to 2017 and it all seems so familiar to me, Joey gets that same backlash Jeff got at the same age Joey is now.

Jeff didn't have other people fighting his fights for him and Jeff earned the respect of the old school guys like Earnhardt, especially Dale. Dale took him under his wing after awhile and mentored him some. Joey is just not even in the same universe as Jeff was, sorry the kid can drive, but he will never hold a candle to Jeff, this coming from a non Gordon fan.

Never said Joey is the next Jeff Gordon. I was commenting on what I perceived Fan backlash Joey is getting now is similar to what Jeff had in the 90's, I never even said anything about driver respect Jeff had to Joey. You misconstrued my post.

No ....Jeff earned respect....Joey has not ...that is the point I'm making

Are you like twelve? Ask mom if you can have another toaster strudel.

Well I can't say how much respect Joey has of the other drivers, I don't know because I am not there and can't comment intelligently about it. But I'd bet that when it's all said and done, Joey will have that respect and drivers will look to him as an elder statesman of the sport. He's only 26 right now, you figure he has about 20 years left plenty of time to win respect.

I'm partial to Chase Elliott in the 'Next Superstar' lottery. His dad has millions and Chase never manages to come off as a brat like Kyle or Logano. Logano almost drove his way out of NASCAR with poor finishes at Gibbs, while Kyle was busy being fired from HMS. Not sure if Chase has the talent of Logano or Kyle, but in a few years it might be the Chase Elliott show. Ryan Blaney is my choice for VP.

Why is this amusing?

I feel like it'll be between Joey and Kyle for the next big thing. It's odd to realize that the only multi championship winning driver in the field right now is Jimmie Johnson.

Chase Elliot, and Erik Jones

Theres no need for personal attacks here.. Dont call me an idiot bc youre delusional. Ive already showed a perfect example of Joey accepting what happened to him after blocking or driving someone hard ..show me a time in the past 4 or 5 years Joey got taken out and didnt accept fault if there was any on his part. He knows the risk he takes when he drives like that.. He has said it on more than one occasion. If you cant see that thats not my problem.. That doesnt mean its not true but dont start calling people names like a child. Really u just make urself look like what ur calling other ppl. Get over urself man. Any further argument without a link or video just shows you know ur wrong as much as I do.

Haha dude..!

I don't think anyone else here is as emotionally invested in a driver as you are in Joey. Relaaaax man :D
