Elliott is yet to win. Not smiling is understandable given his big hype and inability to cash. We had Stenny, Blaney, and Larson (x2) who are guys who have five wins amongst them. They are who they are. It's a different generation. I loved Gordon's swagger but that was Gordon. You can't make a mule win the KY Derby. You can't make a guy colorful on camera if he's not. These guys are doing it their own way. You still have KyBu who is always going to play the heel, you have Logano who everybody loves to hate, same with Harv, and any number of others. There is enough there to keep my interest. If there is not enough there for you, that's fine, I don't share that opinion.
My gripe is not with you, but with writers who don't have the insight to understand the whole deal. It's not a simple equation and some young driver not giving a writer a story is not enough to make me angry at that driver. I've seen enough writers who are just there to gin up a story to know better. I'd love to ask that writer how many career wins Stenhouse has. My beef is that guys who write stories like this may make a good point but generally don't know WTF they're talking about. It's already been demonstrated he couldn't spell the drivers' names.
