Spicy.

For Qarar, I found a youtube stream that ran the whole event. Hopefully I'll be able to find one for this race.

Imola really sucks for modern race cars. No idea why they’re committed to racing here through 2028, should absolutely be at Monza. Nothing but a track position race.

For the hypercars, yeah, but the GT cars are racing like hell.

The cars aren't too fast for Imola. All the dumb chicanes broke up what used to be a fantastic circuit.
GT3 has been pretty racey for sure. Lots of elbows out racing there. Just so damn hard to pass in Hypercar, all the narrow chicanes definitely don’t help. The Ferraris were a second better than everyone in qualifying and still struggle to pass in traffic. Don’t know why they dropped Monza so suddenly, it has plenty of sports car heritage too.

As hard as it is to pass, this is still a pretty masterful defense by Buemi against Fuoco. The Ferraris have relentless pace.

I think the #20 BMW can make it on one more stop? Could be an upset in the works. Sheldon VDL is giving it a good ride right now.

And Fuoco throws it all away for the 50! Buemi wasn’t going to give that spot up no matter what.

BMW and Alpine podiums in Hypercar, very cool. Awesome run by Mick in the 36.

The battle for the win in LMGT3 between Porsche and BMW was a nailbiter. I was almost certain there was going to be contact, I’m surprised Kelvin VDL didn’t send it there.

Some intriguing nuggets from this piece:

- LMH/LMDh set to be extended through 2031 and possibly even longer.
- Stellantis appear set to give the Peugeot program a multi-year extension, complete with an all-new LMH car.
- Three additional manufactures with a sports car heritage are in talks with suppliers; one could possibly join in 2027.
- Series stakeholders recently voted to stay at 8 races next year, mostly due to cost concerns on the LMGT3 end of the paddock.
