Obviously the original intent for a manufacture involvement besides beating the other guy was to win on Sunday sell on Monday!

I'm curious because we are your typical fan what kind of car do you drive?

I'm a Ford guy obviously and I have my reasons but these are my cars..

05 Toyota Avalon my daily driver 239k probably the best car I've ever owned. Toyota is a great manufacture.

05 Ford Explorer wives daily 166k has been a good truck for us. Fits our families needs.

89 mustang 45k my toy

88 GMC c1500 my "work" truck i use this for all my truck needs had it for 7 years has been very useful.

So even though I'm a Ford guy I own a GM and Toyota because they were great deals that I'd have to be an idiot to pass up.

1995 Chevy S10 2WD 4.3 V6 5-spd
1997 Buick Park Avenue Ultra 3800 SC V6

I currently still own the last two on the list. I feel like I might be forgetting one or two more....

Let's see if I can remember them all...

1980 Chevy Malibu
1984 Pontiac Trans-Am
1990 Chevy Beretta GT
1994 Ford Aspire (don't laugh)
1994 Chevy Lumina Z34
1998 Mitsubishi Galant
2001 Chevy Impala
2005 Toyota Corolla
2010 Toyota Camry
2016 Nissan Frontier

Nascar has never had any bearing on what I buy to drive, obviously. :D

2013 GMC Sierra 4x4 135,000 miles, work and travel in this when not flying. (company vehicle)

2004 - Chrysler Pacifica 59,000 miles (paid for)

2005 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited 52,000 miles (paid for)

2005 MINI COOPER S Convertible 12,500 miles (paid for), yeah, we drive this a lot

The paid for thing rates high on my list. No plans to buy anything. Need to sell the Cooper, but, no hurry.

Previous cars of mine in order

89 escort
90 Daytona
93 Taurus SHO
97 Grand am
94 escort
04 Alero

Maybe I'm forgetting something??? I have it written somewhere haha

My history.....

73' Mercury Montego
79' Honda Civic
69' Pontiac GTO
75 Pontiac Catalina
76 Mazda B-Series Pickup
76 Chevy Silverado Stepside
89 Mercury Tracer

94 Ford Explorer
99 Dodge Dakota
01 Ford F-150
06 Mini Cooper S
08 Chevy Cobalt
08 GMC 2500 HD Diesel
14 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

Those final 4 are our current fleet of vehicles. I miss my GTO the most of all. One of my worse decisions ever when I sold that car.

Ok, now you got to put her list up as well.
She pretty much just drives SUV's. She currently has a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, had a 2008 Toyota RAV4 before that, and a 2001 Ford Escape before that. I don't know if you remember the Ford EXP, which looks like the result of what would happen if a Mustang and an Escort got it on, but that's what she had when we started dating.

1996 Saturn SC2
1994 Ford Mustang - Yes, it was a V6
2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
2013 Dodge Dart

I would like another car, but thats on down the line. Probably a small truck or two door, I wanted a later model 05-06 Pontiac GTO, I've always had a soft spot for it.

I keep my cars for years and years, because I get used to them. Also, my father collected Vettes so I always had a ride.
1969 Camaro tweaked for racing (hardest clutch in town. I sold it when my left calf got bigger than my right one). Someone tried to steal it once.
1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud3
Something I forget.
Datsun Zsomething. Stolen.
Dodge Station wagon. Had it until it blew up.
Chevy Cavalier.
Mazda something. Stolen last year.
Another Mazda.

I bought a 2005 Avalon XLE a few months ago and have had it into Canada and Florida already. My intended use for this car was as a winter driver but I like it so well I drive it all the time. It can get 500 miles on a tank of fuel, has great get up and go, is a fantastic road car as you don't find yourself squirming in your seat after a couple of hours, it has no rattles, the doors close with a thud, the truck is cavernous, the back seat has a ton of room and it is still economical in spite of its 280 horsepower. I will buy more of these models as needed.

Exactly the same for me I've talked to so many owners and we all feel they same.

74 Ford Pinto
71 Charger 500 383 I still miss this car!
74 Nova hatchback
79 Chevy Monza
old Dodge 3/4 ton pickup
86 Ford f150
91 Mercury (Cant remember the name. Fords version was a Tempo)
99 GMC Sonoma
02 F150 extended cab w/8' box

08 Chrysler PT Cruiser still own it. The daughter is driving it. It has 156000
And I just bought an 07 PT Cruiser Pacific Coast Highway Edition. Only has 66,000 on it.
Paid cash for it. I HATE car payments.

My first car at 16 was a 1987 Buick Grand National. After I proceeded not to kill myself in that car, I upgraded to a 2005 Pontiac GTO in 2006, which I currently drive today. Due to starting my own business, the budget for the car went out the window and my car now has 90,000 miles on it. I am looking at a Silverado Dually 3500hd or a Camaro ZL1 as my next car. As you can probably guess, I am all about that GM Goodwrench.

76 Ford Courier 4X4 conversion by Ford

89 F 150 4X4 drove it 13 years
02 Dodge Ram 4X4 drove it 13 years also
09 F 150 current daily driver.

Myself: 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor. Best car I have ever owned. 130k on it and never an issue outside of the AC going out. Bought it used and own it outright. It is AWD and has never once slipped in the snow or the ice. It is time for a new car, but I don't really want the payment and I would absolutely buy this car again.

Wifey: 2016 Ford Escape. We are an SUV family. I absolutely will not buy another Ford. In fact, they are calling o buy back the car and we are strongly considering. They have SYNC technology and it absolutely sucks. Whenever our phones have an update it disconnects itself from SYNC because SYNC is always late to update to the phones so we will not be able to connect to our Bluetooth for however long it takes for them to update. Just an awful feature.

Right now a 05 Silverado . I'm a car nut and at one point in times I had 2 55's, 2 64 Chevelle's and a 65 Chevelle. All running and on the street legally. Bought a 69 Camaro 396 SS right out of the service. So many great cars I'd love to have again. Just a few that come to mind are a 49 Pontiac 'fastback' with the straight 8, 55 Pontiac Star Chief, 70 Pontiac (see a pattern here?) Catalina convertible.
In total almost 50 cars, damn

Currently --- 2010 Lincoln Town Car --- like driving my recliner down the road. LOL
First car --- family hand-me-down 1957 Chevy Station Wagon
1965 Ford Falcon --- 4 wheels, an engine, 3 on the tree, and a heater
1968 -- Javelin
1969 --- Javelin --- this one was hotter than a $2 pistol on Saturday night
1972 --- Chevy 3/4 ton pickup
1985 --- Old 98 Recency
1990 --- Chevrolet Suburban
1994 --- Lincoln Town Car
1996 --- Lincoln Town Car
2001-2010 --- Lincoln Town Car

Hubby and I finally settled on the Town Car because there is nothing like the comfy ride.
Currently have 61K on it and will keep it until it becomes too expensive to repair.
Not sure what I could ever replace it with --- haven't been in anything that remotely compares.

What's a thread like this without pics? My cars are treated better than most humans. I'm the guy who parks a mile away...

Currently a 2014Volvo S60

Prior to my Volvo a 2006 SAAB 9-3 2.0T...I miss this car so much! It was in showroom condition at 120k miles. But getting it worked on became a pain in the butt. I'll never forgive GM for destroying the brand....
