Xfinity RACE thread --- Daytona

Execute better
I don't care who you are, what you drive, or how well you 'execute'. If you pull out without four or five other cars, you're going backwards, period. That's not execution, that's making partners. To me, that's against everything motorsports are about.

Xfinity has the best plate package in nascar and have proved they can race in rows but have made the conscious decision not to.

Everyone understands “to finish first, first you must finish” but if nobody knows how to pass the closing laps will be anticlimactic as hell.

Shades of 2013 levels of plate pacing.

Just made a quick trip to the fridge and it looks like the bottom liners gave up.
So restarts and the pits is where you need to make up significant ground .

True

At least I know my driver knows how to do it :D

Nah it makes much more sense to run single file for 100 laps, then try to pass the entire field going into turn 3 on the last lap.

P2 or P3 have the only chance to win on a last lap pass. Anyone deciding to stay in line from 4th on back near 50 to go has no chance and doesn’t have the passion to win. It’s stupid and boring.

Jeffery looks a little inexperienced up front. Bump drafting is not recommended at this time in the race. It usually doesn’t end well.

You must not have seen the move Joey pulled off in the duel the other night.

If cars did not change position from the start of the race until the end I'd see the argument. But cars are advancing position through strategy and technique. Nothing says you should be entitled to pass the car in front of you. You must earn that position!!

That wont happen in the actual race. It was a great move but they were extraordinarily conservative.

Besides, the xfinity cars race better than the cup cars here this weekend.

24 second stop, that'll get it done.

I wonder if that's a cup crew on the 8

Someone blocks a run like that and I doubt either of them finish that lap. Along with 10-20 other cars.

All sports fans complain. Did you miss the SuperBowl complaints about it being the worst in history?

I'm old enough to remember those NFC-AFC debacles back in the day! Twitter and social media would have destroyed the NFL during the Bills era! Imagine a team committing 9 turnovers in a Super Bowl and losing 52-17? To tie this back to NASCAR, it's the TV aspect imo. Without wrecks and constant beating and banging for water cooler/twitter talk it's not exciting.
