Xfinity RACE thread --- Daytona

We certainly have a new game of chess here. Kinda refreshing not seeing a bunch of torn up gear by now.
Things might change with 10 to go.
 
Watching NASCAR in LA (Lower Alabama) -- so I'm a happy.

But I can see that it's gonna be difficult to get new fans when you show them a race that looks like their morning commute. Cars lined up, then they get fuel, then there's a wreck -- just nothing that spectacular. Monday they'll see the same stuff.

The only thing NASCAR can hope for is a spectacular incident -- Big One, Little One with flair, G-W-C...
 
Both of Annett’s ARCA wins came on the plate tracks. He’s in a JRM car. Stranger things have happened.

I unfortunately agree. This and the type of rp racing that existed during the sports height of popularity isn't good for TV. It simply doesn't work in 2019. When going to the races mattered it did. There needs to be more wrecks and close finishes. Things will change in that direction.

If they arent gonna do anything till 10 laps left, they might as well make this a 10 lap race instead of 120.

This is titanically incorrect. I invite you go watch any plate race from 95-2004.
 
We need a caution to take it back double file, kinda sad that's what it takes.
 
The single file will be ending soon. They can clearly run on the bottom. There's enough cars left for craziness at the end. You will all be rewarded for their patience.

I think staying in the draft is very smart knowing there easily could be multiple G-W-C. Those who are able to conserve gas now might be greatly rewarded.

You can't force a line to form. Why follow and maybe go backwards when you can gain a spot by doing nothing?
 
I would think the worst part of making a move from 10th back is that theres a very good chance people will drop down in front of you when they see you making progress
