Xfinity RACE thread.

Which is exactly why he didn't win the race.
Exactly. I don't mind the block, but if you're going to throw it and throw it that late then the driver behind shouldn't feel obligated to lift. If you're there, you may as well keep your foot in it. But it seems like Ryan felt bad enough already for taking the #20 out of the race.

Blaney is saying on SiriusXM post race that because of what he did to Jones that he didn't want people talking bad about him if he did something to Dillon and went on to win.

When he watches the telecast and sees how Jones ran against him all race, how tight he ran him in 3-4, and how he spoke about him afterwards, he'll probably change his mind.

I respect the hell out of him for wanting to race clean though. Totally understandable.

he was driving the 22 Penske owner points car..think about it. there is a difference between dumb greedy and smart greedy
If a 21-year-old with no full-time ride feels more obligated to protect the car for this bunk owner's championship they trumpet around that no fan cares about rather than go for the win, it's time to rethink the series.

ah dumb greedy.

Regardless, one thing is true. Had that been Keselowski in the #22, we all know how it would've ended. For those of you who say Austin was wrong, you know you would've done the exact same thing in his shoes.

I do wonder how many people would be calling him a dirty driver if he hadn't lifted.
Nobody I hope.. Coming to the checkers, anything goes.. Dillion had the best car all day and I understand him blocking as well as the double deuce if he woulda choose to move him outta the way..

Blaney is a lot like his dad, a class act

of course the experts around here think that Blaney doing 180 plus could have been able to turn Dillion easily, miss going in the grass or getting tangled up with a spinning/flying Dillion and completely screw up an already good finish.

Yeah, it was "a good points day"...for a driver not even running for points. Smh.

A good day for the rich old men, for sure. I am grateful a driver lifted so they could have a good points day sitting on top of the pit box.

yeah buddy, they own the whole shebang. The driver used good judgement. showed maturity, and he isn't in the hospital. But it doesn't hurt hitting the wall when your watching on your chair..oh that's right you know he would have come out of it unscathed car and all.

hell if I know you the expert on turning a driver at 180 plus. might ask Carl Edwards how that goes

I like that.

I want a driver who will go for the win, but I also am just very glad we don't have another Keselowski on our hands.

I enjoyed the race........and the finish.......what happened, happened.......still doesn't take away from the great finish. But, that's just me.

Blaney didn't tear up Austin's car yet he hit the wall 22 times trying to pass him

He should have made contact in the trioval, just rattle his cage a little bit.

Erik Jones had Ryan Blaney's rear wheels off the ground twice coming out of turn two today and he's talking about the 22's lack of car control. :lol2:
That was the dumbest thing I head for a while....Thanks for the laugh Jones

He did jack him up a little. You could see for a brief second he thought about turning him but didn't do it.

Too worried about what people think. Drivers like that dont last long here.

True dat. The 22 wins almost every week he's not behind the wheel, if he wants a big time ride in Cup he better step his game up.

I think it's funny that a majority of the people on this board (I'm guilty as well) hate on Austin Dillon but constantly throw praise at Kyle Larson. Dillon has 3 nationwide wins, 11 poles, and a championship. In trucks, Dillon has 5 wins, 12 poles, and a championship. Yet the driver we hear about every week being the "next Jeff Gordon" has a whopping 2 nationwide wins, a pole, and a truck win in almost 3 years. IMO Dillon is underrated and Larson is overrated, Larson doesn't win enough to be considered an elite driver. And when you compare the stats, Dillon is better. The only thing Larson has over him is rookie of the year, and that's a prestigious award that Ricky Stenhouse and Kevin Conway have won, so that award has basically become meaningless. And this is all coming from a big Larson fan
