Sweet, Now thats a Racecar.....look closely at the front bumper headlamps and center grille. There was ALOT of grumbling about their "not so stock" shapes. But then Bill Elliots aero T-bird showed up, kicked ass and changed everything :(

Amazing how NASCAR aero packages were driving design back in the day. I cut grass for a guy who is a retired boss of the design division of GM back in the day. He told me they had to have the approval of the top GM teams before they could make things happen at the plant.

So far away from what we have today. It's almost like NASCAR 4-point-O right now. I wonder what NACAR 5-point-O will look like in 2013 when we are supposed to get to see cars that look somewhat more like a production car.

Probably a lot like the NW series looks now. It's a step in the right direction, but not nearly enough.

Early on a Saturday Morning, while at the Big Apple food store at the South entrance to NHMS, I was privleged to see Wade Cole arrive with his hauler!!!! One of the nicest and most approachable guys you will ever meet, he just did a 4 hour ride from Ct. Then, spent all day getting ready to race, and spent the night in the competitors parking lot. Great guy!!!!

I loved watching that race. The commentators got in a word about that car and had the camera guys get a shot of his hauler. Pretty cool.
