Something I just thought of--in indycar she is used to talking in engineering terms..she might relate to a CC like that...Tony G is not that sort of CC. Hmm...

cautiously optimistic.

I don't think that there is any tougher relationship to maintain than the driver/crew chief relationship. So much pressure to achieve from everywhere . Even the great ones like Jimmie and Chad have their tough times . I wonder if they aren't wondering about each other right now. :)
 
Danica Patricks spotter

JOLIET, Ill. — Neither Danica Patrick nor boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. took blame for their accident Sunday afternoon at Chicagoland Speedway.

This article made me feel better about the switch. Apparently Patrick has mentioned about working with an "engineer type" CC and building that relationship over time. I imagine having an engineer minded cc will be more akin to her indycar days.

Better days ahead. I hope she and Tony G still talk alot though.

All good news but what shocked me is Danica calling herself a cougar...neat she does not want changing her hairstyle

from the article:

"I am afraid of changing my hairstyle, though," she said after a pause. "I have never done that."

In other words, don't expect Danica to show up to the track with a bob anytime soon.

She even needled a reporter when answering a question about whether or not she's comfortable being a role model.

"Sorry," she said after moving on. "I'm always hard on the young ones."

The next question, asked seconds later: "We were just talking to Ricky (Stenhouse Jr.) out there ..."

"Speaking of a young one," Patrick, 32, dead-panned, before breaking into a grin at the mention of her 27-year-old boyfriend

I think he handled better than her trail of tears to Helton.
And I would love for her to experience the same fate after the "that could been me" crap.

There are plenty of female drivers in America who have earned the success they've achieved. And their success isn't questioned. Danica's got by on her looks and marketing abilities and there's nothing wrong with that -- but it's irony at its best to hear her take this shot at the Drive for Diversity program.

Hell, those drivers that came through there are already winning races. ****, one of them just won at Martinsville today. Something she'll never do.
 
the drive for diversity program is just as flawed as head start or pretty much all of the rest of government's programs. She forgot that not only is she a girl, but she has spent thousands on making her look the way she does. Not to mention sprawling around on car hoods. But to give her credit, she has crumpled up more car hoods than she has perched on.:D

If Haley Moody and Karsyn Elledge (Earnhardt's granddaughter) ever make it to NASCAR, they're going to make a lot of people forget who Danica Patrick is.
 
If the Earnhardt name can't get you into Nascar, how great can you really be?
