How they start don't matter. It's how they finish. We'll talk after the race.

The Penske bunch got screwed. In amongst the back markers. If they look real hard they might be able to see the front.Stenhouse up at the front again. Last week it took about 5 laps and he was in the rear and a lap down shortly after that. It isn't the car in his case.

Hasn't been much to cheer about if you are a JGR or foreign brand follower this year. Almirola liked the rain also.

"We're really close. Got to work on a couple things. Car has good speed." @JeffGordonWeb has completed two runs and 11 laps in practice.

Have the Gibbs cars found some horsepower ??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Revman suggested this may happen.................... you remember that ???

HMS look good, but JR went "Boom, boom" last year.

High RPM tracks have not been their best friend in the past, I mean.

I've been in the garage area many times and have never seen the grooved tires,

I just checked, they are "setup" tires for use in the garage and when pushing the cars around, I have seen them many times

Google "why are the tires in the nascar garage grooved"
I've never seen them before.

"..."Scrap tire" means different things to different people. Seeing a stack of grooved tires outside the Wood Brothers' trailer, we asked if they were rain tires. Len Wood explained to us that the technical term was "scrap tire." Teams are only allowed a certain number of sets of tires per weekend (it varies by track), and those tires have to be turned-in to officials at the end of the event. To keep a few sets around for shows, testing and such, teams are allowed to groove the tires, thus making them unsuitable for high-speed runs. The result is a scrap tire, not to be confused with the mosquito nursery you have behind your garage..."

I've been watching NASCAR for 15 years and had no idea about scrap tires.
