Hey! That's right in the middle of my parking space!Light generator #1 also delivered.....
What a shame.....unless they are adding a third race that is.

I'm all for the Martsinville lights if they are 1) For insurance in case of delayed racing 2) for a third race run on a weekday. I'm not for just moving one of the Martinsville races to night time. The excitement of night racing wore off about the time 1/3 of the schedule became night racing.
Even though we're in the Martinsville Thread I'm still going to guess that you're referring to Daytona here. I agree, Daytona should be a primetime event. I think the only reason it isn't is only because it would be placed into a much smaller window. At least with it's earlier scheduled start, they have the late afternoon/evening to run into should weather become an issue. Something they don't have the luxury of with the later start. Not if they want to retain the television audience. The irony is the one race that should be moved to primetime is run on a Sunday afternoon.

If I can just get a government job by then, I'll be all set. President's Day is just another Monday for this race fan.The race is moving back to President's Day Weekend in 2018. There's your insurance policy.
From this angle, it looks like the complaints may turn out to be justified. With the poles on the infield side, I don't see how they can't block something. I'll have to wait and see how many and how far apart the poles are.People are already complaining about obstructed views. NASCAR fans..... Gotta love em!

Recalling the outrage when Bristol announced the new "scoreboard".People are already complaining about obstructed views. NASCAR fans..... Gotta love em!
Yes, the sky was falling after that announcement. #muchadoaboutnothingRecalling the outrage when Bristol announced the new "scoreboard".
Today's NASCAR broadcast's are a perfect example of a mostly unrealized obstructed view. You just don't know what you're missing sitting home on the couch. The biggest problems I have with obstructed views these days is because the networks focus on the top 5 and show meaningless angle shots or a glowing brake rotor for 3-4 laps.
Thank you, sir. That's not in the infield. It's outside the backstretch, adjacent to the luxury RV sites.
You'd love Indianapolis. What most all of tracks are missing is a big ass building right behind pit road.
Makes for an unparalleled race viewing experience.
I think you're thinking @AndyMarquisLive.I'm surprised you had time to post this, what with beating up the phone line to order your tickets.

Me, I'm good with the two races that I already travel there for. That is until the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Time Remaining in Race, 'Race Clock' gets implemented. That'll free up a couple weekends for me.
