Logano spins Kenseth couple seasons ago, removing potential championship contender. Nascar says it's perfectly acceptable and actually desirable. Was Hamlin wrecking Chase Elliot a strategic maneuver or just a guy going for a win? Is this what is now the new normal IE; do we expect/accept the leader getting wrecked? I've never like this type of racing. What Chase did to Kez was racing. Hamlin just wrecked Chase. No question about it. If wrecking the leader is acceptable, it is WWE, not a sport.

True stuff if I was unreasonable I would be upset that Chase Elliott ran Brad up the track cost him the race....but im not that was a racing deal...**** happens. But what happened to Chase was complete b.s. I dont think there was any team tactics by Denny just trying to wreck his way to homested. hope he gets what he has coming.

My contention is that wrecking him was more beneficial to JGR/Toyota than just finishing a couple places ahead. If he had moved him and Chase still finished top 5, Chase would be a better points position. So Team Tactics. Smells like MWR deal to me. Only bigger.

Hopefully it was and we find out....o the implications haha....nah we would never find out.

Conspiracy theorists wanna know...
Amirite?

Wouldn't surprise me. Chase has a lot of people nervous right now.

How did you know? How? Seriously? Haven't heard ANYTHING on this board other than what a bunch of selfish bastards the JGR guys are, and now you telling me that Denny was working for the greater good? Yeah, okay.

I'd say the premise is about as likely as the #24 spin/crash was due to a flat from that tire rub or HMS intentionally giving #42 a grenade to get him out of the Chase.

Guy going for a win, IMO.

I think the big difference was that bump and runs, slide jobs and moving a driver is fine. But when you are underneath a guy with his car jacked up going into a turn, there was a 0% chance Elliott would make it out of the turn. Denny has been one of my favorite drivers in the past but I lost a lot of respect for him and I can see why he has never won a championship.

Pulled for Chevy all my life, at least 10,000 races, but I think Chase raced Brad dirty too. He just didn't spin him out. But still dirty imo.

Nascar allows one driver to dump another and there are normally no repercussions so it pays to wreck your competitor. The fans don't mind unless it is their fave getting nerfed and the fans of the nerfer are full of ready made excuses as to why the nerfing was OK. To me the whole thing is shallow and does lend a WWE atmosphere to the series.

Denny does everything for KTB ....... he is a wonderful team mate o_O

Yeah but if he did Brad had it coming, he had been rubbin and pushing Chase too. Buts its martinsville and what they did was all good.

I was watching the restarts when the Penske cars were up front. I expected them to do what they've done in the past (Gibbs drivers have done it too) but this time team tactics seemed to be on hold.

I agree....100%. Denny was being Denny, but social media and the media in general are running with this--turning it into something it shouldn't be. The fact of the matter is that Chase Elliott is untouchable.....and Denny touched him. This is the issue.

Just more dislike for TRD.

BTW I called Fedex this morning and closed my account, told them why and said adios. It may not hurt them but it made me feel better.

Dumping is touching?

Chase gave it back to Brad the way Brad gave it to him prior to the Logano caution, hello.

Clearly Kyle and the Gibbs Racing team was doing what was in the best interest of the team to keep their drivers on the lead lap. Clearly Penske drivers were coordinating the side by side restarts. Had to laugh when the announcers said, no team orders/decisions.
I guess it isn't any different than years ago when drivers would slow and let someone pass them when racing back to the caution.

I was halfway to Panera for you buddy.

I love this. I mailed a package today, and insisted on FedEx. Told them to drive that ****** in there, and get it to the recipient on time. No matter what. Made me feel better.....again.
some are a bit touched. I think many in the crowd wanted to be touching Hambone and will want to for a long time.
I think many in that crowd were a**holes. Throwing **** at drivers. To steal a line from Pete Pistone.....the optics weren't good.

I've got a package coming Wednesday from Fed Ex.

I think many in that crowd were assholes. Throwing sh!t at drivers. To steal a line from Pete Pistone.....the optics weren't good.
Have any clue what Kyle was talking about in Victory Lane when he said "real classy"? Looked to me like someone did something but the cameras didn't catch it.

I am pretty sure the 12 Chase Elliott models kits I am getting are going to be shipped via Fedex, so yeah, thats gonna make giggle like a school girl.

I think something was thrown from the crowd and likely not a roll of toilet paper.

I'm sure the investigation will show it was a JGR fan ;)

The way he looked up before saying it sure made it seem like some a-hole threw something over the fence. Couple that with in idiot fan going after Hamlin on pit road and we have a recipe for fan restrictions of some sort in NASCAR's future. Martinsville's long standing tradition of victory lane celebrations being held at the start/finish line could be a thing of the past because of idiots like these. That would be a shame as that can be a pretty cool experience that you normally don't get a chance to take part in as an attending fan.

A few idiots can do a hell of a lot of damage ....... damage that we will all pay for.

I wondered what that was all about too, but with Kyle, sometimes it's hard to tell whether he is being straight up or sarcastic. Other than Kyle just being Kyle, I'm not sure why anyone at Martinsville would have had an issue with him winning the race. He didn't wreck anybody and he roughed up and passed the villain of the moment, so all should have been good.

The hate for KTB runs deeper than the love for the chosen one

I think if you’re making changes in your life because of something you saw on TV in Virginia from your couch then you may want to take a break from the TV for a while.

Glad you agree and see it our way. :sarcasm:

Somebody probably shot him the bird. He isn't well loved..surprise. Hambone just stole the show for jackass of the week. :p
