I've been getting emails constantly from the SMI tracks I have interest in (Kentucky, Bristol and Charlotte). Michigan has been firing off emails about every other day. Pocono's been about once a week.
 
This is kinda weird. Just got info from Pocono that they are having qualifying and the race on the same day for Pocono II in July. Anybody else's home track doing this that we are aware of? Never had a 3pm start that I recall in all my years going there. Don't know what we're going to do yet, Pocono II has become "Old Boys Reunion Race" for about 6 or 7 of us. Unknown if they're going to want to leave later or keep it the same and watch qualifying or what. I think that would make for a long day on the old derriere.

2017 NASCAR SCHEDULE AND FORMATS FOR POCONO
In case you missed it, we recently announced our 2017 NASCAR race weekend schedules. The biggest change to the calendar, which will occur during our second NASCAR weekend in July, will be Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying and the Pennsylvania 400 being held on the same day on Sunday, July 30th. We have detailed those changes, along with the new NASCAR race formats for Pocono Raceway, below.



SUNDAY, JULY 30
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series: Qualifying (12:30 p.m.) and Pennsylvania 400 (3 p.m.)

No big deal. This seems to be the new direction of the sport. I'd venture to guess we'll be hearing about this a lot more in the future.

Good seats (not great...low) but right near the start/finish line. Dover must be desperate to get asses in seats.
