We gonna do this all winter kids? Seriously. Did you post about TRD/Toyota team processes before TRD/Toyota started winning? They have been there. Where were you? Wasn't a problem then. Now that you think it is, you get the crying baby. This isn't the evil empire. This is Toyota kicking Ford and Chevy's ass. As @aunty dive pointed out, where were you when Chevy won 13 Manufacturers Titles in a row? Where? I know where I was....hoping like hell MY manufacturer could get just a little taste of that. Tastes good.

Doesn't matter what I think, the guns are gone, Toyota's thinly disguised factory 6 six car teams got their wings clipped. On to 2018, looking forward to it.
 
Like restrictor plates next will be the pit guns issued at the track.

Not butt hurt buddy. The gun advantage has been gone. Remember Hendrick paid top dollar for that IP. Everything has been evened out for a long time. As for the M&M's pit shirt that has you all messed up....that's just Toyota in your head. Toyota has been pretty transparent about their desire to have their teams work together. They have six teams--two rookies, and they still kicked Ford and Chevy's ass. They have gotten a small number of teams to do what Ford can't ("One Ford"), and Chevy hasn't even tried ("One Hendrick").

I think its going to be fun when the Camaro comes out of the box fast in 2018, then I can use the crying baby on Mr TRD.
 
The drivers should perform their own pit stop service.

Never, ever bitched about the competition, and won't then if it happens. Love manufacturer rivalry, and whining. Brad is the best Camry salesman ever. Be careful with that out of the box thing....WE couldn't go for **** early last year. I know that because of all of the **** that I took about Toyota's lack of wins....and then it went away....and we moved on to broken wind tunnels, and other ****. Blah, blah, blah, blah.....

It's pretty common for newcomers who haven't been around for very long to puff up their chest. Oh look at meeee. They gave them all of the advantages this year, but next year it's a whole different ball game..let them gloat

Newcomers? Puffing out chest? You have talked more about Toyota this year than me. There is far more crying about Toyota than my "chest puffing." They gave them all of the advantages? Why? Why would "they" do that now? Why not 6-7 years ago? Why wait so long? Talk about butt hurt....Get over it. Toyota kicked ass, and when "they" insist that the other manufacturers step up their game instead of taking something away from Toyota, you will have your parity.
 
Good deal bud, enjoy this year, it is over, the rules have been changed for the better IMO. We'll see what happens next year.

Your acting like this is some kind of racing pilgrimage or something..oh the drama. The yota was designed with the new less downforce rules in place. Everybody else has older vehicles that were designed for a different era. It ain't all that. Just lopsided competition. Anyone could see that. Nascar let them have the advantage..Toyota insisting..what a load of B.S.

I too love manufacturer rivalry, as it pushes everyone to step up their game. As for my Toyota fans on here or anywhere, I say be proud! I want to see Dodge come back in too. FWIW, the 2018 Camry is a great looking car. If I was buying a 4 door sedan I'd pick it over the Fusion (I have a company car Fusion and it's a good one). My very first car was a 1974 Corolla, and I loved it. It was different from the junk being put out in the mid-seventy's. Today my personal cars are a Chevy SUV and a Chrysler PT convertible. Over the years I've also owned other foreign makes; Mazda, Honda, VW, Infinity, Porsche, plus a Cadillac and a Jeep. Variety is the spice of life :whoopee:!

Love that Camaro is coming next year. Maybe the Mustang later and, perhaps, the Toyota Supra in a couple years??
 
I don't see manufacturer when watching Nascar as to me it is like Go Karts as there is always one faster than the others and there is always one driver that outshines the others. I may or may not have tossed a person or 2 to the side when running to get the fastest Kart.......:)

The Camry is a winner both on and off the track and depending on needs one of the vehicles I recommend people purchase. You can't go wrong with a Toyota, Honda, Hyundai or Kia.

Actually almost 3........ a long time ago...... but I still remember seeing it and was in amazement....... :)

It was a tongue in cheek joke...... Sr. left the pits with no left side lugnuts on...... they let 2 crew guys take tires and stuff down into turn 1 and put 'em on the car...... with a 4 way lug wrench......

Yeah, that would be the dumbest thing Toyota had ever done given the frequency with which the rules change. B freakin' S. You don't know that, but you sure sound like you do. Weren't you running your chompers when Toyota was winless (or lacking wins) early. Where was your engineering analysis then?

What parameters do you think the Yota engineers designed for..downforce at the Mall? 3 front ends in four years, I think they are keeping up with the frequent rules changes

If Ford or GM want to use 3 fronts ends in 4 years it is all good. If they don't want to spend the money to keep up then they can get left behind.

I don't think they design for a specific rules package. When Happy set the world on fire in '14, was his Chevy designed for that? No. That's Harvick Ford babble. I think they design for adjustability. Those front ends coincided with model changes--an attempt to keep the stock in stock car racing I suppose....and the '18 is a whole new body, but why banter about such silly details? Most are butt hurt over the intro of the '18 Camry because it was introduced on the track before the showroom of course. Can't think of a better way to promote a product, but non-Toyota fans are searching.

short track, intermediate and plate cars are designed differently to a different stack of specifications. Adjustability is after all of that. The car in 2014 had a whole different set of design parameters (rules) than this year. In fact at least two rule changes reducing down force have happened since that time. There is no butt hurt drama, back before you were probably a fan a decision was made to go in a driver makes the difference instead of a technological one of car wars similar to F-1.

When certain brands were making models that were designed for the track, the Superbirds and Ford Talladega's with Hemi engines for example, restrictions were put in place. One of them was that they had to sell so many models in the showroom first before it saw any track time. Who knows Brian might have forgotten about that or doesn't enforce it anymore.

I recall there's a clause in the production numbers rule that applies to stock car models submitted for approval before the matching consumer model reaches the showroms.
 
That was one of the "firsts" for me this year, the others were crew members being pulled off a team by another entirely different owner's team, and the other was another entirely different racing owner's team working on a competitor's car. Not saying it hasn't happened before, but that was the first time I saw those happening. I remember something similar one time when they pulled the 24 crew to pit the 48, but that was under the same owner's umbrella. Even more puzzling was that there wasn't any explanation from Nascar on any of it I have read. Something happened behind closed doors it looks like with the new pit crew staff and designated positions rules for each car.
