This weeks NASCAR Fan Council survey

I was reading about the Fan Council. they say the measure the responses. I think some of the questions might be from an independent survey company called Vision Critical. Kinda makes sense with some of the questions the come up with.

I don't get this, new restart rule or viewership increasing?

  • The quantity of meaningful feedback NASCAR received from fans tripled, while costs decreased by 80 percent. After launching its insight community, TV ratings and viewership increased for the first time in three years.
  • When fans called for a new restart format, NASCAR listened. The company picked up the Fan Council’s comments, validated them and initiated the new “double-file” restart rule, resulting in overwhelmingly positive reviews.
NASCAR and Vision Critical were awarded the prestigious Forrester Groundswell Award for listening to consumers and generating business results using social media.

I'm not sure how many of you on this board are a member of the fan council. I know many think that NASCAR doesn't listen to the fans and that the Fan Council is simply a farce. I gotta say that almost every change that we are seeing these days has been hinted or asked about in some manner on the Fan Council beforehand. When they say that they are listening to the fans, they may very will be. It may just not be you. If you don't like what's going on, let them know about it.

I tried it for a season but they required me to answer many questions about xfinity and truck races that I didn't watch. Plus the questions were mostly about how much of the race I watched and how I rated each part. I considered the questions nonsense. The only interesting questions were related to possible changes but I wasn't willing to put up with the excessive detail of my watching habits.

Very true. But I always gave them an earful at the end when the little box labeled What did you DISLIKE -- came up.

I would like the see the results of the surveys, just curious.

I think you're watching it on Sundays.
I see what you did there.

I want to see the results so when NASCAR says they are doing it for the fans........., its that transparency that I am talking about.

I tend to agree with that NASCAR seems to be listening to their fans more than people think. People will bitch and complain about points regardless.

It's telling me my responses have already been recieved? The hell does that mean? Did I become a member and forget about it?

I agree the FC has been more active this year, I went from getting survey every other race to every race this year, plus extra surveys.

I get one every week on racing and every once in a while some others. I have know idea if it does any good, but, it is a chance to voice my concerns and blessings. I figure they have a computer program to read the comment sections and flags key words to compile percentages.
I kind of pooped on there parade when they sent the "How Has Monster Energy Helped my excitement of my racing experience and Nascar. The sponsor could be Boars Head Cheese and Meats and it would be the same, the title sponsor has no baring on if I am interested or not.

Got the same reply. In other words they want people who fit a different category.

they said on that clip I posted on the more you know, about race length? 33% wanted longer, 33% said it's the right length and 33% said shorter.:D

I really wish they would post the actual numbers on the responses of their surveys. Like, what the percentage is that respond the way they do?
Ive been asking for that everytime I can remember to mention that.

I tried to fill out mine this morning. At one point a screen was being displayed that didn't display properly. It failed to load the section of the screen where I could respond to the questions. I tried refreshing the page several times eventually giving up and canceling my survey. Oh well. I don't feel like they listen to my point of view anyhow.

Maybe your internet connection was frozen. Damn it's cold up there. :D

I was going to give them another blasting, but I gave them a blasting all year long, so I decided not to waste my time repeating everything.

That is the way you go about getting fans for the sport. I remember when drivers were sitting in stores days before a race just to meet fans. They are to busy for that the last 10 years or so.

Does Nascar have any say in who works for the broadcaster? I don't think so.
They do to a certain extent. It's their brand and their product so they have a say in how it's presented.

I did get the NBC survey, but was unable to finish it, once I got to a certain part, it was not loading the content correctly.

That's exactly what happened to me. I don't remember what page it was but it would not display correctly. It prevented me from being able to enter anything on the screen in order to continue the survey.

I did the NBC one and it loaded just fine. I wish that we could take both of them though.

It loaded find till halfway through, so I have no idea what was going on, but I was not able to correct the issue and move forward.

Yes, it was really weird , it was the like the page was being stretched out , or magnified by like 100 times.

Maybe I just lucked out.
