So you noticed that, too. Apparently, these guys forgot about his run at Phoenix!
I have never seen so much about a run in Phoenix a couple of years ago....

they don''t at Gibbs Hamlin proves that. Bowman once again only has one full year experience, I am not that dumb to write somebody off their first year or even the second or third, like weasel Joe does. Hendrick usually doesn't operate that way, but there are exceptions when a loose cannon is signed like a KDB.
I think it is way too soon to tell. I do worry about Byron, he is going to get the Elliott/Hambone treatment or something similar. This is Chase's team for the foreseeable future. I think Bowman and Byron can be serviceable drivers who can win every once in a while, like an Almirola or Bowyer type, but not the type of drivers who will be regarded as serious title contender each year.

I don't know about that. JJ needs to be in front in the winners column for some fans. But yeah it doesn't matter to some. But they have been trying to throw him under the bus for one crappy season. I hope all of them get a hold of the new setups. More competition never hurts. It sucked looking at the board and seeing him running in the 20's a lotIts JJ's team until he retires

It's kind of a big deal considering he led more laps and competed among the best in the car he was in compared to two drivers who have a tremendous stature in the sport and happened to drive the same car and didn't quite manage to emulate his results.I have never seen so much about a run in Phoenix a couple of years ago....
I can’t argue with JJ’s resume and all the wins, championships, etc. BUT the second half of this year was a passing of the torch. JJ is the figure head, but it’s Chase’s team now.Its JJ's team until he retires

It's not just that one run, either. He had a respectable 2018 season. As other members here pointed out, he was more often than not closer to the fore at Hendrick.
Eh, I put this here, It isn't all Hendrick, I don't think it will matter that much. Something to read..it's the dark days.
Chevrolet sees "more work to do" before 2019 NASCAR season
For the second consecutive season, Chevrolet had no drivers contending for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship.

You sure of that?88 will do better than 24... 48 and 9 will do better than both of them
88 might do better than 48.. otherwise yeah I'm pretty sureYou sure of that?
I had no idea Jr was even there when I initially saw this. Cool if he’s still involved somewhat with the 88 team but I’d say it has more to do with Nationwide. I’d wager that Bowman wins a race this coming year, in fact I’d say everyone at HMS wins a race this year (is this a BOLD Prediction??? Not sure yet) however I’d also say we have now idea how the Chevy’s will run in this new aero package they are trotting out. Everyone is getting antsy for Daytona....I can’t wait for Atlanta.Much better than the 2018 car. I like it

Check out that Jacket Chad is wearing.
I sure hope JR left Nationwide a little money because they are going to have to write a check to me and 3 other of my teammates sometime in the near future.I had no idea Jr was even there when I initially saw this. I thought Bowman had a real good chance of winning Daytona but things out of his control kept costing him spots and then he would work his way back towards the front until he finally got caught up in that last crash. You can only dodge a bullet so many times before it finally hits you. I definitely think Bowman, Elliott, and Johnson will win some races this year. Byron could have a shot also. The cars ran great at Daytona, just didn't get any results due to no fault of their own. Atlanta was a dumpster fire. The Ganassi cars showed it wasn't an engine problem, so that gets us back to chassis and aero. SOMEWHERE, they just aren't getting it.
I suspect that Mr H. might have a talk with Mr. Gnassi over this one. Also, someone tell Larson he wasn't the best Chevy team last year.

“I feel like Hendrick plays games in a way with NASCAR. I feel like they always start the year off kind of bad to like show NASCAR that they’re being nice and cooperating and following the rules and stuff, and then it gets a couple of months in, and they start cheating and finding some speed.
“So I don’t know. But it was satisfying. It’s been satisfying the last few years to be considered the top Chevy team. That’s something that this race shop prides itself on, but we don’t need to be the best Chevy team. We want to be the best team.”
