Who will drive the #6?

Keep in mind that Wyndham signed with Roush through Kenseth. Wyndham is sponsoring the #6 this weekend.

Chase. Briscoe on reddit said he heard a rumor it's someone outside of the Ford camp so I'm thinking someone who is retired like Kenneth, Biffle, Martin or someone like Hemric or Chastain

If I know Ryan Newman he is packing his bags tonight.

This. Racing is all this guy knows. To get back on your feet you need to be around what you know. Ryan knows NASCAR. Its what he does.

If there's no concussion or precautions then he should get back in this weekend.

Waiting and losing points just puts him in the same riskier predicament at Talladega or Daytona again before the playoffs.

Assuming they cleared him of a potential concussion, we have to remember Newman probably doesn't have many races left regardless. I like the guy, but he ain't Harvick. He probably doesn't have much of a chance racing past 2021. If I were him I'd want to race every last time I've got.

I've always appreciated him for being a hardnosed, old-school racer, but now I really wanna him win at least one more time.

If I've learned anything from him since he joined Roush, is that he's good at avoiding big wrecks & being there when it counts @ superspeedway races. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win this year.

I can't wait 'til they interview him to see what he has to say about the wreck.

hit the nail on the head IMO and I'll add that he has been doing the same last year on every track he had a chance to do it, scrapping for every position while Stenhouse was over driving and wrecking. I don't think he is driving a winning car, but if he can catch a break or two I think he will win one.

Oh, and... flail thread.
That wouldn't bother me at all, but I think it's too early to call. He could run the whole race. He could start for points and get out. He may show up and find after the first practice that he's not ready. Or he may already know he can't even climb in through the window yet, or get out quickly if he has to.

Too early.

O/T but I think Buescher is a younger Ryan Newman, he's good at saving the car and being there at the end. Where he isn't the same is being hard to pass :D

With any luck, Chris will have at least 30-odd races for Ryan to rub off on him. Hopefully more; I like Ol' No-Neck.

Flail thread is a phrase that is just kind of a joke/meme/whatever you want to call it that stems from this forum's Podium. :)

Thanks. I'm not in the Podium but the general meaning comes across in context. I'll be delighted if he's back in the car this week, but I won't bet a pack of gum on it.
