2020 Auto Club 400 - Pre-Race Thread

I have found in my lifetime of fishing that expensive rods and reels feed the ego but they don't catch more or bigger fish. The record catfish caught in Oklahoma was caught on a Zebco rod and reel set.

the world record 123 lbs. Flathead was caught on a Zebco 33 with 12# line.
The biggest fish I have caught were with garage sale equipment.

Remember 2 years ago Me and the Missus stayed up at Lake Arrowhead the night before the race and got caught in a dang blizzard!

Yep! Lol remember that being quite the adventure

My buddy that runs the drag strip on the back side of the Fontana track told me to stop by tomorrow and he would give me some free tickets for Infinity and Cup practice on Fri. I guess when I go to the hauler parade tomorrow I will pick them up and go watch them practice on Fri.:)

I'll bet that's the first like you've had from someone at cruising altitude over the South Pacific Ocean. We have WiFi. :)

FWIW, I did not know who he (Kobe) was or anything about him till his Helicopter crash. The man is deceased and as a human being, I feel for his family, but, that is it.
Me either, I don't follow the sport. I knew the name and I knew the face. Terrible thing that happened. I did kinda guess right about Axalta's participation, I bet somebody probably went to high school with him of graduated from there or came from the same geographical area.

Parking, live, right now, from Fontana, in progress
I went out there today to pick up some tickets
and I went back to the back lot where they were all parked before they moved up to the front lot for the parade. I followed the SHR haulers up to the front lot and hung out for a while but I left before the parade started so I could beat the traffic back home. But, I will be up bright and early tomorrow morning heading back out there for practice. I have 4 nice seats in the top of section 11.
