2021 Silly Season

The numbers are the same font used for Custer’s number in Xfinity last year.

True, also kind of the same font as the Briscoe 98, except the "8" in Briscoe's 98 is a completely different font style than the 9. It drives me absolutely crazy. But you are right about the 9's being the same font, good eye

Good deal for all involved I think. At the worst Matt gets one year to show he’s worthy of a ride with another solid team in 2022. At best Penske adds a fourth car under their banner when Next Gen debuts and everyone keeps their seat. Cindric could be dangerous if he gets opportunities to steal some road courses next year.

How Brad’s negotiations for a more lucrative and longer-term contract go and whether or not they sell back the Supercars team will be interesting.

Yeah for sure. I don't think many if any drivers are getting long term contracts anymore.

I'm getting worried about my guy Erik Jones, like real worried hes going to have go down the grid to get one of these seats.

Must say I'm surprised a bit by Jones still floating out there. I understand it as all dominoes must fall in order, and the Larson one is hanging things up. I would think if Larson is OK'd, he goes to HMS. If not Jones is possibly competing with another XFinity driver for that spot.

Nearly two minutes of words from Clint, none of which mean anything. I tend to think that the lack of a renewal at this late date means there is unlikely to be one. Then again, if he somehow made the final four or got close, that could buy him another year. The #14 situation is definitely up in the air.

Sounds like a good compromise versus just bailing on DiBenedetto after a relatively successful season, buy's him a lot more time to find his next place.

Cindric delivering too much results in Xfinity to be denied.
I really do like the idea of him trying to put a whole season together in Xfinity while getting his feet wet in cup. I think he is allowed 5 races in cup while going for xfinity championship.

I guess this one depends on how bad Chevy really wants him back. I don't really know why you would suddenly want a guy back you couldn't kick out the door fast enough six months ago, but I guess that's the world we live in. It is what it is........

Just my feeling, but Larson to the #14 and that organization feels right and makes more sense than to Hendrick.
Thats the feeling I get. Its a little looser, the dirt connection with Tony and the buying power of Gene but the number one reason is that Stewart Haas is putting out the best stuff in the business right now.

The number of races Cindric can run in Cup is not limited.

I'm surprised Cindric is not coming to Cup after 3 Xfinity seasons but I'm happy DiBurrito will be in the 21 for another year.
Cindric will be an immediate threat to win if he runs some of the road courses next year.

Going to miss Clint in the car but it’s been time for him to go. Hasn’t been the same driver since 2012, but he is going to be great in the booth

Larson would become a contender in the 14.

Who is clint replacing in the booth?
