Has Kevin Harvick (at age 43) Lost A Step?

This is amazing.....

The latest one is better than the last one, IMO... if not just as unbelievable. Sure grandpa puts on wolf ears and dresses the grandkids up as piggies to tell the Three Little Pigs story, because that's what kids these days are into... Spend 20 minutes getting dressed up to be told a 10 minute story.

But yeah, that last kid. Got that Three Little Pigs themed birthday party he always wanted, complete with big ass fondant cake, only to have no one but Mom, Graampa, and little brother show up.

"Gee, what are we going to do now?"

"I dunno, maybe gramps can tell us again why he wheezes all the time!"

This is the kind of stuff I think about when I watch commercials :XXROFL:

The funny thing is that Harvick was just a dude until he ****** with Chase. Now, he is some bad guy/villan/whatever. He has been Delana's wife forever, but it was never an issue until he called out the almighty. <Shakes his head in disbelief as he defends Kevin ****** Harvick>.
Oh BS…he was a dick from the time he took over the 3. Nothing to do with Chase….

The revisionist history here is laughable. Harvick has been a prick his entire career from walking across Rudd’s hood to running away from Elliott and driving straight into a wall.
I am agreeing with you....It was accepted until....Chasey.

BS....nobody cared until Chasey.
Again BS. Just because Chase has a lot of support here doesn’t mean most knew he was a douche WAY before this issue. I’ve railed on that puss since he came along with his tough guy persona and antics.

It's a matter of opinion. When Harvick had to chase down KDB on pit road and he ran like a chicken, I'm sure some fans thought Harvick was an a hole. I wasn't one of them though  The B.S. between them stopped after that though.

Yeah he didn’t wait for his team because it was Busch. And I’m sure he wouldn’t if it was Kez. But he knew to make sure his boy was there when he came out to “confront” Jimmy. Didn’t take much to subdue him that time either.

False. We had a member call him a bully for awhile before the Chase stuff happened. Pretty sure he wasn’t the only one to call him that as well.
A Bully because of the clip above chasing poor Kyle around and Kyle running into the pits.

I've noticed that Harvick has been running the best that he's been all season long. Not that unusual given that teams step it up in the playoffs, but it's still crazy to see the difference between him and the rest of the SHR fleet. Briscoe, the rookie, is starting to look promising. Almirola notched up the team's lone victory and made an early exit. I've been most puzzled by Cole Custer's complete absence from the top ten-fifteen from start to finish. He's only ahead of LaJoie, Alfredo, and Houff. What is going on with that 41?

I've noticed Harvick's increase in speed lately also. I don't think that set well with some of the drivers who were in the playoffs with him. I don't think he is going away the rest of the season.
I've wondered how long Custer will be driving for SHR if he doesn't step it up also.

Oh, he did. Sat there in the car in front of Busch for nearly a minute until his crew member arrived to accompany him.

The man required backup to pretend to physically confront Kyle Busch.

Wasn’t this around the time that Richard Childress had to find someone to hold his watch so he and Kyle Busch could discuss why Kyle kept having a habit of running into RCR cars?

I miss that member.....and the "bully" line was tongue and cheek. Completely. 100%.

I noticed the same thing myself. I think he may be a thorn in the side of a few drivers during the next 3 races. I think he will race anyone of the final 8 hard if he thinks he has a chance to finish the season off with a win.

yeah for sure, Harvick in 9th is trying to stay ahead of C.Bell who is in 10th- 50 points behind and Ku Bu 52 back and reddick 54 back. One crappy race and he could lose 3 spots. Harvick has been showing more speed since Darlington and has been in the top five or 10th with the exception of the Roval wreck.

Which is proof that Harv still has it. The Ford has been ****** all year. Sweet Jesus....I am defending Harvick.

I agree 100%....he might even race dirty if he needs to to get a win. This is why he was so pissed at The Chosen.

I stand corrected…he DID wait until a teammate was there before confronting the badass Kyle Busch….yes, so tough….loving him getting owned by the calmer Chase.

That was a hilarious and very true comment about the Chase Elliott fans. It was a gift that will last a lifetime. But I think his blood pressure has lowered back down to pretty much normal now and I don't think he will pursue the matter anymore. I think he is mainly concentrating on trying to finish the year out with a victory and thinking towards 2022. As long as something doesn't happen to upset the apple cart I wouldn't be surprised to see them sit down in the future and mend the fences...or at least I hope they do because it kind of sucks to see two drivers you like become enemies.

I honestly wonder how much of Harvick is just an act.

Harvick lives for this stuff. That's what makes this whole thing so funny to me. Some of the things Harvick's said, I can tell he's quipping, and he can poke at himself too.

Chase Elliott fans are just so damn cult-like. They should be more concerned with how they're gonna beat the team car that has the most talented driver in a generation behind the wheel of it.

Often when a belligerent fool such as Harvick makes an ass out himself, as Harvick has countless times, they eventually retreat to, "Oh, you thought I was serious? Y'all so funny."

Elliott kept his compusure. Harvick has no composure. He'll be great in the booth eventually though, just as he's great at the wheel.

Yeah, that’s not my job. I’m not on the team, I can’t do anything to beat Larson. So as a fan of Chase, I think being concerned about Harvick is understandable.

I need to dig up the Chase Elliott thread where you were oozing about the guy and how you were a newfound fan. Or when you said the same thing about Kyle Busch being the goat. Flip flopping at its finest.

And trust me, he can beat Larson at Phoenix. Everyone on here that automatically assumes that's not possible is setting themselves up for an offseason of tears. And at this point I really hope it happens cause holy ****, the people that don't like Chase are more concerned about the results of Larson vs. Chase than Chase himself is.

Well you've spoken, so it shall pass!

Thinking that the driver in the car that has had a clear pace advantage over the field, and is having an all time great season over the defending champ isn't a "disrespect" to Elliott. If it's 95 degrees out tomorrow, I think most of us assume that we are gonna sweat at some point. It's calling a spade a spade.

Can Elliott beat Larson at Phoenix? Sure. Can Larson beat Elliott at Phoenix? Sure. I think you're just as concerned about Larson vs Elliott as the people you are pointing the finger at, if not, moreso than anyone here. In fact, all a few people have done in regards to Larson vs Chase is echo Harvick's comments. You're the guy who took shots at Larson as a teammate/man in direct comparison to Chase a month or so ago.

And before you jump down my throat, Elliott was my pick to take it all in 2021 back in like November of last year. Logically, the 5 is the safe choice. He's my choice now, but it's no sweat if Elliott wins, and I'd have confidence in their experience. That's a possible outcome. Chase as repeat. Larson as the champion is just as likely. And if Larson does beat Elliott with an all time great season, what's the issue with that? It doesn't take away Chase's name plate as champion.

Is a young HMS roster with two champions really that terrible? Or does Elliott have to be the only champion?

Anyone winning a race or a championship besides Chase Elliott is a disappointment. That's called being a fan and that's the way I watch sports. I root for one guy just like I root for one team in every other league. Sure there's other drivers I "like" just as general human beings and what they bring to the sport, but that's where it ends. Sue me.

I've found when they start stating what a driver is thinking, don't waste your breath, it won't come out well. Let it go
