NFL 2021-22

Just 2 days left until SBS and it looks like Dr Dre, Snoop Dog, Mary J, and Eminem will be in the house for the halftime show. :punkrocke

Halftime shows suck. I watch the NFL for the 🏈.
I participate in Super Bowl festivities for the food. Don’t really got a dog in this SB.
They’ve requested my presence Sunday to make traditional Buffalo wings. Ima bring my commercial fryer, wings, blue cheese dressing, ranch dressing and make the best of it. I hope they got enough Blue Moon…🤔

I think you are in the minority on this one. Maybe not on this forum but in the real world. But it doesn't make any difference any way because it's not going anywhere, and no one will ever force you to watch the halftime show. Look on the Brightside, it gives you a chance to stretch your legs and refill your snack tray while everyone else is rocking out while there is no football being played. :punkrocke
 
No matter who wins today I just hope it is a good game. But if it is 54-0 Rams win then I will consider that a good game. :D

I'm not a fan of most of the halftime shows either. I know I have no interest in tonight's lineup. Just my wife and I watching tonight. Food and beverages will rule the night in our household. Rooting for Cincinnati and good commercials.
 
If it was any other teams other than the Rams or the Chargers I would be rooting for the Bengals.
 
I can't remember a Super Bowl in which I've had less of a preference. I'm totally fine with either team winning, for different reasons. I'll probably end up rooting for whoever is behind at the half, just for entertainment's sake.
 
I see Earnhardt Jr and Rutledge Wood are hanging out in SoCal for the big game today. :cool:

Zac Taylor is a terrible HC. Yeah, let's run right at the best DT in the league on 3rd and short, then not even try and block him on 4th down. Yeesh. The Bengals made it this far in spite of him. Good roster with a great QB, but they won't get over the hump until they get a better coach.

Also, I liked the halftime show lineup, but Eminem sucks. He's the only guy out there lip syncing, probably because he realizes his voice is awful now. I loved his early stuff but over the years he started this raspy yelling in his songs, and his singing/rapping voice got to the point where it sounds like he's been chain smoking for the last 30 years. He needs to hang it up.

to this crap......

Agree on the Taylor point. Disagree on the Em point, but I always hated the way he sounded on infinite and slim shady lp

Different strokes and all that. I loved Infinite, the Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, and liked the Eminem Show too. Everything after that has been garbage IMO.

I went to Best Buy and bought Encore the day it was released. Tried to give it a chance, but ended up tossing it out the window of my car while driving on the freeway. It really was that bad, probably the single worst album from any artist I've ever heard. Haven't liked much I've heard from him ever since.

Encore was trash. The guy was in the middle of a really bad drug problem. My favorite album is the Eminem Show because I think it's the most complete and has everything. Lyrically I just think Kamikaze and Music to be Murdered by is so far ahead of the early stuff. The guy is rapping entire songs that are double entendres

The Eminem Show is one of my favorite all time albums.

That album spoke to me as a kid, because of what I was going through growing up.

The headlining stars are not paid. The NFL doesn't have to, as it is a massive promotional opportunity that leads to huge increases in sales and visibility. My understanding is that the supporting dancers and musicians are paid.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores has a new home.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the hire of Flores, who is suing the NFL and three teams, as a defensive assistant and linebackers coach Saturday.

"I am excited about Brian Flores joining our coaching staff given his history of developing and teaching defensive players during his time in the NFL," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said in a news release. "Brian's resume speaks for itself, and I look forward to him adding his expertise to help our team."
