Silly Season 2024

Really low floor but high ceiling lineup IMO.
Yeah, some think the Yotas will be the saviors of that mess. They have to pay to play just like everywhere else. Gallagher started out in the Trucks with a good team, but they have been on a downhill slide for awhile. I'm still scratching my head about letting Zane Smith go after he won them a title.

Preemptive hate post. You are nervous. You have no idea what kind of a deal WE have with Legacy.

just think how bad the 7th and 8th pit crews are after watch the clowns on bells car.

It's like anything else, unless Legacy ponies up the money, it's another Leavine family racing only twice as fast with two cars. If Nemechek goes on a wrecking spree lol. It's going to be interesting.

Old. Yawn.

Ford Supercars driver Cam Waters confirmed he’ll be looking for partial NASCAR drives next season. He’s a Monster Energy athlete and is expected to carry their support over to America.

“I’d love to,” he declared. “Kind of go and do what Shane and Brodie have done this year. But there are no calendars out yet, so it’s hard to lock anything away.

“Hopefully, something like that can happen for me next year. Obviously, I’ve been pretty vocal that that’s where I want to want to be and I want to do, so just wait and see.”

As well as NASCAR Cup Series road or street course races, Waters is open to oval racing and regular Sprintcar dirt track rides.

“I want to try and do some road course racing over there and even try some oval stuff,” he said. “Not just that – maybe some Sprintcar stuff as well. I’ve been doing here [in the off-season], so I’ve been getting up to speed and probably at a point where I could go to America do a bit of racing over there and have a bit of fun.”

A run down from Bob of the remaining rides unannounced for 2024:

Preece and Burton are likely to retain their seats.

Still nothing regarding waffling Almirola; Custer could be moved up in the scenario he calls it quits for real.

Kaulig should have news this week - AJ will race full time in either series and let the team decide which. Corroborated Lee Spencer’s report that Daniel Hemric is a top contender for one ride, and Ty Dillon for the other if AJ is relegated. I’m pretty sure this would be by far the least inspiring lineup of any multi-car team next year.

Hocevar top candidate for the Spire 77.

RWR not committed to one driver or multiple drivers for the 51 yet.

Zane Smith has interest from Trackhouse but they don’t have capacity for 2024 - could be a scenario where he’s leased by the team to a different Cup/Xfinity program for 2024. I think it would be disappointing if Ford fumble him away, but it still wouldn’t be their most egregious whiff on talent in the past several years.

Daniel Dye has a Truck ride secured (I think this is KBM)

Full-time Spire Truck could be an option for Rajah.

Niece and ThorSport have openings for Enfinger (I think he winds up with Niece).

Custer over Zane. SMH.

Thanks daddy.

This guy is a much better fit for Kaulig than Ty Dillion. He's improving each week and Dillon has been flat lined for years.

Who said JRM wants him back?
Who said JRM doesn’t want him back? He was a fairly popular and successful Xfinity driver who brought some money to the table with Black Rifle Coffee. And I don’t believe they have a replacement for Berry yet. (If I’m wrong, feel free to correct me.)

Only time will tell.

Possibly Sammy Smith, he has whatever hookup the Annetts had with Pilot Flying J as Sammy’s dad has been Michael’s business manager for a long time. So PFJ and JRM could be reunited there.

Jmo, I don’t think a respectable Cup or Xfinity is willing to bite the bullet on Noah again just yet. And since he’s just been reinstated, a good number of seats are already taken for or in advanced discussions for 2024. I think he winds up in a playoff-caliber Truck seat.

Things have changed since he was a popular and successful driver.
