Folks, we're getting a masterpiece.
NASCAR 25 is being developed by the folks at iRacing. From the footage I've seen, looks like they nailed it.I hope you are right. I am going to lurk a while and see how it goes.
If it is great I will buy a console, plus a sim rig and go for it. I dont want to spend much more than a thousand bucks so I would probably build the frame myself to leave some money for a seat, wheel and brakes.
I just want to be sure before committing.
It is probably fine. I want to learn more about what it can do and learn some of the questions for dummies stuff. I was hoping it would have a modified series or more short track stuff.NASCAR 25 is being developed by the folks at iRacing. From the footage I've seen, looks like they nailed it.
Maybe we can start a Racing-Forums league or something.
I'm getting it in a few days for the PS5, hopefully the Gold Edition.Anyone who's even remotely interested in a NASCAR video game that isn't a full sim like iRacing should buy NASCAR 25. Don't even hesitate. Just buy it. I haven't even finished my first race yet as Blaney at Gateway, and I already love it.
I finished the first season in career in Arca and did my first truck race. Ty Majeski wasnt a fan....and just that quickly, I think I've found something on the restarts. It was mostly a skill/knowledge issue. I don't think the patch affected it.
I was under the impression that since you can't just fully mash the gas coming off of pit road with cold tires, you can't mash it on starts/restarts. Every track may be different, but at least at Kansas, you can just hold the gas pedal down fully on starts/restarts.
The AI is still a bit OP on starts/restarts, but as long as I try to stay in front of my line and pinch the opposite line a bit, I don't lose 5 or 6 spots like I was before. I actually have a fighting chance. I can live with that.
I figured I would like NASCAR 25 and was feeling positive about it going in, but even I didn't expect to like it this much. The driving/racing is fantastic.I finished the first season in career in Arca and did my first truck race. Ty Majeski wasnt a fan.
Honestly, if I was gonna go the gaming PC/full sim rig route, I wouldn't even bother with a simcade game like NASCAR 25. I would grab myself an iRacing subscription or the venerable old NASCAR Racing 2003 Season sim with mods for the current cars/tracks and call it a day.I have never been a gamer, but I am leaning toward going all out with a gaming PC, a strong sim rig with a Moza wheel and pedals. Hopefully enough to be one-time buys without wanting an upgrade in another year or two.
I want the force feedback stuff and to go beyond a simple controller, so my current plan is to wait until the NASCAR 25 PC version is available.
Here is my question: I will need a gaming PC and will buy one that is capable.
But I will not be using some crazy three-screen setup. It will probably be something simple close to a 40-inch screen.
I want a PC that will do the job and perform well, but I don't think I will need every bell and whistle; the games I see myself playing in the future will all be racing sim stuff.
Any PC advice or recommendations will be appreciated.
Where could I find Nascar 2003?Honestly, if I was gonna go the gaming PC/full sim rig route, I wouldn't even bother with a simcade game like NASCAR 25. You can find a used copy in disc form selling for a crazy amount on Amazon or roll the dice with a cheaper used disc on eBay. You can also try to download it from somewhere, but I'm not encouraging you to do that, becauseWhere could I find Nascar 2003?

I just started iRacing about 2 months ago and I’m having SO. MUCH. FUN. Granted, it also comes with A LOT of frustration too. I quickly realized I have soooo so so much to learn.I have never been a gamer, but I am leaning toward going all out with a gaming PC, a strong sim rig with a Moza wheel and pedals.
