Storage building

Put the A/C on the window. 74 and sunny! Supposed to be warm all week. Putting it in wasn't the plan. Was supposed to be attaching retractable wheels to one of the table saws. Somehow got diverted. Need to go to Lowe's and get roll of flashing tape to finish it. Then in couple weeks will put the other in bedroom window. May wait till April for that one. Freezes my head when gets cold outside.

Of course high so far is 50 today then supposed to pour tomorrow. Boooo! But calling for 80's toward end of the week. Did go to Lowe's to get the flashing tape. They have a cheap brand that's 12 bucks roll. Noice!

Found an exercise/workout machine on Marketplace trying to talk myself out of buying. It would pretty much fill the shed. Really need to do something for exercise. Can get free gym membership but really don't want to go. Rather get something for home use.

You could always do what I do. Go for a walk. It isn't as much how fast you walk but how far. The trouble with a home exercise device is they get used hard for about a week then the next most strenuous thing you do is look for excuses nit to use it. Ever wonder why are there always home exercise equipment for sale on Craig's List or marketplace?

Almost bought the 5 sheets of siding for front 10 foot of original shed. Meh. Did buy a reciprocal...nope...rectangular...nope...reconstituted...nope...oscillating saw. That's IT! Cheap Amazon Chinesium plastic cordless that uses M18 Milwaukee battricities. I have those. Will cut the nails on the verticals supporting the overhangs. Cut the existing siding right beside the studs and yank it off. Should paint those 4x7 foot sections before the install. Maybe do it tomorrow but I doubt it. Think will wait till next month. Need to give whole thing a good scrubbing before painting. Green pond that's 20 foot away corrodes the surfaces. Corrodes? Meh. Close enough.

Thought was going to Hazzard Fright to buy a bunch of 2" casters for 2x4 foot rolling benches. They will be mounted retractable so won't be carrying weight. After little searching can get set of 12 swivel casters from Amazon cheaper than set of 4 from HF. Crazy. Ordered them, pack of 12 door hinges and 8 stainless steel 5/16" x 4 inch bolts/nuts/washers for just under 50 dollhairs!

Gonna do some things. Get the shed better organized and replace the front 10 foot of siding. Then paint, trim & caulking.

Edit 68 ish bucks. Forgot about the hinges.

Moved 20 dollar job site saw to porch, put junk Delta with blown up motor on back of truck to hopefully sell/give away, on Facebook. Really suppose need to get the 220 outlet installed and see if the new 25 year old Delta works. Man it's hard to drag around. Says Wednesday for delivery of casters and stuff. I'm typing this on phone and can't see chit. Left eye is completely screwed up. Will call Raleigh Opthalmology Monday. Not gonna wait for MyEyeDoc to screw this appointment up like last time.

You could always put carpet on the floor with a cushiony padding underneath. Be a lot easier to stand on for extended periods. It would make it difficult to drag the proposed retractable wheels on the bench but everything is a trade off. Lighting seems a wee bit sparse too. Thinking you could consider new led lighting on dimmer switches could be a nice touch. Maybe even some you can change color or better still, ones that rotate colors. Now that would really dres it up in there. Add some class.

On a more serious note, back in the day, after retirement, when I had a workshop, I place a lot of stuff on the walls and in many cases made small brackets/holders for them. Helped pass the time and making the holders gave something to do on days when weather sucked. Of course, a good sound system and collection of Merle Haggard cd's are a game changer as well.
Just trying to think of ways to assist in spending your money.

I have a gym membership that is great but it is more of a backup plan

Imo hiking is the greatest also a great way to socialize or tune out to some great music with a headset when alone.
Also a great way to spend time with my bride and walk the dog, nothing like fresh air.

I closed in my deck with vinyl siding and windows with vinyl trim. Installed Aluminum doors, the ceiling and walls are made up or done with shiplap boards that had the polyurethane finish prior to installation.
Probably more expensive to begin with but It was the plan to avoid painting altogether.

My workshop interrior walls and boards is painted white inside but that is only to help with the lighting or illumination. The sheet rock in the house and privacy fence is the only painting I want to worry about. I may eventually replace the fencing boards with aluminum pieces that never need to be painted.

I cut up old plastic orange juice bottles to store nuts, bolts, nails, miscellaneous fastners, etc. It is cheap and the clear material makes it is easy to organize and very visible. They also store easily on the 1x6 boards above the big cabinet style tool box.

Marketplace 3/4 plyweird. Was cull wood which is imperfect/slightly damaged/cancerous, etc...so fits my usage perfectly. Only "needed" one sheet but @ 10 bucks ea. grabbed all 5. Neighbor with new trailer needs a porch. While this isn't treated paint will make it waterproof enough.

I needed a sheet for bench tops. Now have plenty!

Have a 10ish x 12ish section of linoleum like what's on the bench. Was planning on putting it in the new section. Since I seem to constantly be dragging stuff around, that would get ripped first week. Likely just paint the floor grey. Possibly paint the interior walls white for light reflection. Need to move couple of those LED lights up in the loft on a seperate switch. Or not. Definitely need to empty the lofts and sort thru stuff.

Really need to fabricate some storage for tools. Maybe end up in the rolling dresser or vanity? I hate pegboard. Have enough to hang most of my junk I just hate dealing with it.

Have a bite on the burned up motor Delta table saw. Free & I'll help load seems to be the right price. Possible could part-out on ebay but I ain't gonna mess with it. Guy says tomorrow evening.
