Illegal communication between teams?

Supposedly NASCAR is still looking into the Logano/Gilliland incident.

Thursday morning release from NASCAR: "NASCAR is continuing to gather all the facts from last Saturday nights NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Richmond International Raceway. NASCAR will have no further comment until all the facts have been examined. "(NASCAR)(9-12-2013)
 
They say they're still looking into it... I think if anything it might be an after the reset penalty. Just because of the fact that nothing has been said today after how fast they came out with the penalties for MWR.
 
It took about 12 hours for them to penalize MWR... about 27 hours after the 22/38 thing was uncovered Joey was on stage at the contenders live thing.. and then the top article on nascar.com is how he's not worried about it.

The MWR punishments came out Monday night. The rage started as soon as ESPN did the interviews and showed the replays post-race. About 42 hours.
 
nascar is stalling till Chicago so the media will have other things nascar to report about. The answer will come and it will be 'inconclusive'

Regardless NASCAR has to give their verdict by tomorrow. I was hoping to find out today. Just hope him being on stage is a good sign.
 
NASCAR should at least give this a conclusion. You cant expect people, or the driver affected himself be hanging on the air after you say you're looking into the matter more.

Leaving things in the air just leaves a bad after taste. Also, it tells gordon to go exact your revenge how you see fit.
 
When will there be an investigation of RF members "liking each other off".

You like my post and I will like yours, and we will like ourselves to stardom like a superteam, while other independents are posting their asses off for their hard earned likes.

It is tainted the bad kind of taint too, not the good kind.

I wouldn't mind seeing Gordon retaliate. What are they gonna do to him if he does? :idunno:
 
Jeff Gordon is probably in a race car somewhere practicing and learning how to put his splitter or exhaust pipe just right to cut some left rear tires down for the next ten races, like Jr. did to him with his exhaust pipe.

To subtle for Jeff v Bowyer. IMO, he'll just wall him.
 
I'm sure NASCAR's already got a plan in place to make sure Bowyer doesn't win the championship. His engine will probably be the "random" engine that goes back to the R&D Center after each race. As for Logano, at this point, I'm sure they don't want him to win the championship either. Maybe a couple pit road speeding penalties or loose lugnut penalties. :growl:

Word is he's getting a rebuilt engine from Matt Kenseth...real cheap.

There wasn't pressure from sponsors to make the chase, because there wasn't one.
There weren't big-buck team owners bribing other teams to let their guy pass to ensure they make the chase, because there wasn't one.
There weren't teammates you had to take a dive for because there were only single car teams for the most part.

Some nascar drivers these days need a good slap.

I don't buy that there were never behind the scenes deals for position made back in the day.
