Hmmm.... I wonder... has anyone ever had such a good start to the chase?

I really dont know and dont plan on looking into it but I think its got to be a good possibility that Joey has the best numbers through 4 races in the history of the chase right now.

Okay so I looked into it a little bit...

Though most other drivers have many more starts in the chase than Joey... right now Joey holds the 2nd best average finish in chase races at 9.71 behind Jimmie Johnsons 9.6

In previous versions of the chase, one bad race and you were pretty much done. The champion had to put together about a 5th-7th place average to win. Now a bad race can be overcome (unless you're in the big one at Talladega).

Yes the whole season, that means disregarding the stupid points reset that is the chase.

Gordon leads Logano by 137 points on the entire season, not just the past 4 races.

Ive already said Im a fan of the race and not the chase. 100 wins > 5+ championships.

Regardless of any points system... the winner has to beat everyone under the same rules... and the champ will go in the books as the champ the same way any other driver has since the beginning of the sport.
