Texas RACE thread

So maybe Kasey finally does something for HMS next weekend. Takes one for the team and punts the Deice into the fence for Jeffy :D

**** that douchebag. Can't race hard and clean at the same time so **** off.

It really is pathetic how it seems like there is only one car in the garage that can't seem to stay off other cars when he is racing with them and that's the #2.

This is Jeff Gordon's business to settle, he better ****** settle it.

Phoenix is going to be a mess. BK better be careful next week because it's just not Jeff who is irritated by him...
 
After watching that interview...

I'll say this about the situation. For years, I have been watching NASCAR and we always want different types of drivers to make things interesting. BK is about as old school as you can get with this new generation, I respect him for telling it like it is. He's going to give it "100% all the time". I'm the same way, to hell with the consequences just go for it when the opportunity arises and it came, but like things it does not always work out. I understand Jeff's feelings as well because of being reckless and trusting in those natural instincts can get you in trouble and that is whats going on with BK. Sometimes its better to let things develop rather than to force your way in.

Keselowski is a hell of a talent and a champion, a well deserved one, its just sometimes he needs to be a bit more patient. Remember at Chicagoland and that fantastic move he made? The man has a great sense of racecraft and intellect. Its just sometimes he throws it to the window. Jeff needs to stop saying these drivers are "Over their heads", once again he is a champion at the same time he needs to realize all 43 drivers are after the same goal in winning a championship. Just I can remember the occasions where he made mistakes and tried to deflect it or accept it. It happens, its racing.

This is what happened on the previous restart with Johnson on the inside as the leader and Gordon in second on the outside.

After the next caution was thrown with Gordon as the leader, Jeff took the outside to allow second place Johnson to restart inside where he could once again let Gordon go by and hold up traffic on the low line.

Unfortunately for Gordon, the second restart didn't go as well as the previoius one and Kez was able to charge into the hole Gordon created by drifting up the track.

Interestingly enough, after Gordon was out of the picture, Johnson was untouchable when restarting as leader.

I was wondering the same thing. 48 was there to hold back the 2, which everyone is worried about winning it all.

I think Kez jumps on driver mistakes so fast, they don't have time to react and make an even worse mistake. I can't believe Jeff though Kez would stay put when he opened that hole. In this case though, Brad would have been smart to follow JJ and get him loose and up into Jeff, then pass low, but this stuff happens fast.

This is worst than anything Brad's ever done in his career. It was obvious what they were doing. The 48 could of smoked Gordon on that restart, and subsequently Keselowski, if they were actually racing.

That actually appears to be Brad's car chief ("Kelley" on his firesuit). Still, those were some hard cheap shots to the head of somebody who appears to have just been caught in the middle. Oh well.
 
Okay, I was not able to watch the race. The replay, Jeff turned into Brad in a attempt to close the door. People are pissed by the slightest contact... Jeff acted liked a complete since and so did Harvick for trying to be a hard ass. I watched quite a bit then I had to go to work.

Smh people. If being aggressive is a crime, then I shouldn't be watching racing then.

It's not a crime, but NASCAR is a self-policing sport. Once BK gets punched in the face a few more times or wrecked out of a couple of wins he may realize that the drivers he continually wrongs week in and week out are the drivers he has to compete with for a championship.
 
Ricky Craven got it right just after the race "Brad has no credibility or respect throughout the garage because of cheap shots like this. Every week somebody is wanting to kick his butt for doing dumb things". I think that pretty much says it. Then the talking heads got their orders and started the, it's just racing chant which in my opinion is bull crap. I just tried to scan this thread for some good content but 95% of the posts were stupid so I'm glad I logged off and watched a movie.
 
I'm just gonna go out on a limb and consider that JR, since he has nothing to lose and only fans to gain ... might just find someone's fender next race ... maybe several times. Think if he puts ******* into the wall a time or two might ramp up his popularity going into the off season?

Good stuff! Thanks for posting.

Gordon left a huge hole open on the retart but by the time they came to the entrance of turn one it wasnt there. Gordon held the high lane and Kez just used him as a leaning post. Im all for checkers or wreckers but damn, be smart about it. Race hard, not stupid.
