2016 Watkins Glen - Cheez-It 350 at the Glen - Pre Race Thread

Hendrick Motorsports...what an embarrassment.

Chase should have easily made it in based on yesterday but I think he waited too long to go back out.

Invisicarl will show up tomorrow, I hope not, but it seems likely.

Michael McDowell grew up driving open wheeled cars, a very talented driver. CS-Levine did a great job with testing at WG.

It's crazy how much Kenseth and Hamlin have improved in road course racing.

What do you expect!? He's tied Michael Waltrips record for Cup wins for gods sake!

He's proving that he's pretty damn good.

I would say he's close to being an "elite" driver. Martin has honestly been fantastic, but luck has not always fallen on his side.

What happened?
He went out late in the session, only leaving time for one run, as he was coming off of turn one, Ricky Stenhouse was coming off of pit road, Ricky held him up on his hot lap, not on purpose, he just caught him at the wrong spot. The next lap, while Ricky was on his hot lap, Martin purposely held him up.

He spoke out because he claims he was blocked as Stenhouse left pit road.

The things he said and the tone he used were rather pointed. JMO of course.
He did more than speak out. He ruined Ricky's hot lap as well.

Oh come on man, Carl's got the best average finish of any driver at WGI. He's a solid road course racer and will contend tomorrow

Yeah, I would have just kept listening as well.lol
Idk if anyone is afraid of him anymore. I think Larson just respects him enough to listen.

Afterall, Tony said himself he was probably gonna get his a** kicked after he pulled that move on Hamlin at Sonoma LOL.

Yeah, I don't know what Matt found or learned at JGR, but I'm glad to see it. During his Roush days I was grateful if he finished in the top 20. Maybe it's the cars, maybe Kyle did some coaching?

Smart kid. When you step in it, look the guy in the eye and let him go off. Quicker he's done venting, the quicker you can mark it as a lesson learned and go back to work.

Hey Brian..... Does this tell you something..... anything.....

Maybe it's time to take a harder look at the NASCAR schedule Brian? o_O
For Brian, 'taking a harder look at the NASCAR schedule' means getting an adult to help him sound out the big words.
